We are a close family who grew up in Devon, England. Our love of Normandy and cultural differences lead us to purchase a one and a half acre meadow. Our family constructed the home from scratch ensuring every aspect of the house was completed to our standards and specification. We love to stay in the home to relax and take weekend breaks all year round to get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
Jack purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Jack chose Lithaire
The meadow inspired us to purchase the property because of it's natural beauty and local French culture. The home is situated in a tranquil village perfect for simply relaxing and soaking in nature and the surrounding beauty. Amenities are all within a 6 minute drive and a broad range of activities are available. Please read the additional information section.

Beautiful, relaxing, peaceful
We stayed here for just 2 nights as a short break. The place is just lovely, set in a large field on the outskirts of a small village. So peaceful, we had a lovely walk around the village on our first night - didnt see or hear another car/tractor; group of neighbours playing Petanque "Bonjour!".
All the mod cons you could wish for, small Table Tennis table was great for a bit of fun too. We had lunch out in Le Haye du Puits and Portbail, then relaxed at the house for dinner with wine, bread, cheese sat outside in amazing tranquility.
A great base for either relaxing, or visiting nearby World War sites, or excellent coastline and AMAZING seafood !!!
All amenities are within 8 km, just a 5-minute drive. Beautiful sandy beaches are a short 10-minute drive ideal for surfers, wind surfers, fishing, boating or water sports. Local festivals, markets and events run throughout the summer with some continuing into the winter. Fresh food markets continually impress and are a must visit for food and culinary lovers. Likewise, local traditional French restaurants are scattered throughout the area.
