The 7th arrondissement is an elegant, high-end area of Paris that's literally right in the middle of it all. The problem during your stay will be deciding what to see without exhausting yourself - there's so much!
You can start easily by visiting the nearby Rodin museum, dedicated to the famous sculptor of Le Penseur ('the Thinker') and many other works. Just behind this is the complex known as Les Invalides. If you're a history or military buff - or even if you're not - this fascinating monument to French respect for the legacy of its armies will inspire thought and admiration for a well-worked-out system. And just beyond that is the Tour Eiffel - not to be missed, especially if you're able to go at sundown!
Going east, you'll soon encounter the Orsay Museum with a wonderful impressionism-heavy collection housed in a former train station. And then, you're in the middle of the Rive Gauche.
Don't miss the Marché Bio (organic market) on Boulevard Raspail on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The nearest Metro station is Metro "Dupleix" (line 6.)
