About Louise Coster
We look forward to welcoming you to Bank House and this beautiful part of the country, there are so many lovely things to discover. We live and work next door, where my husband Sam runs his architectural salvage business. We are both passionate about reclamation and the restoration of architectural antiques and many of the items we sell have been used in the cottage. We are almost always here to let you in and show you around, otherwise, one of our friendly staff will greet you. The cottage is then yours to enjoy, but we are nearby if you need any local information or suggestions for places to visit.
Why Louise Coster chose Norwich
Hingham is ideally situated for exploring Norfolk and makes a perfect base for a family holiday or romantic break. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside but within easy reach of Norwich, the North Norfolk coast and the Broads.
What makes this Cottage unique
Quiet, peaceful and secluded, this former hall house is rich in character and full of charm, but with modern and functional amenities throughout. Bank House has a long and fascinating history, dating from the 15th century. It still retains many original features but been brought back to life using traditional materials and techniques.

Our second time at the cottage and it was just as enjoyable as the first. Louise goes to extra lengths to make sure you are comfortable and really relax and enjoy your time. Highly recommended.
From the moment we arrived at Bank House to the moment we left, it was everything we had hoped for .
Louise was very welcoming and made us feel at home in not time. Bank house is even more beautiful in real life! Such a relaxing and welcoming feel, you won’t want to leave. We wish we booked longer! We will certainly be returning and are already looking at dates!
Thank you for such a relaxing, warm, enjoyable stay!
A trip back in time
Gorgeous old world property sensitively restored and decorated. Great location for exploring Norfolk.
My husband and I stayed in Louise's cottage for 3 nights whilst visiting family in the area. We found the cottage to have everything we needed and the bed was comfy. It was quietly secluded behind the Market Place shops and we enjoyed having breakfast in the sunny garden. It was great to have the bakery and butchers shops so close by. The bus runs regularly into Norwich so you can leave the car behind to explore. A very good experience in Hingham. Thank you Louise.
A charming characterful cottage in a delightful village
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage and would recommend it to anyone looking for a base to explore the area. Lots of nice little touches too which made us feel very welcome.
Lovely charming cottage in a really nice village.
What a great place to stay, with such lovely character, but with everything you need to make your stay perfect, in a great location with all of the coast about an hour away and Norwich a stones throw away. Enclosed garden for the dogs.
Beams interesting even for the vertical challenged which just added to character of the cottage. Would highly recommend it to all.
Peter and family
Hingham is a thriving village with many shops and amenities. Our local gastropub The White Hart serves excellent food and is dog and child friendly. Two cafes are within a minutes walk, as are the local bakers, butcher, greengrocer and general store. There is a sports and social club and two playgrounds for children.
