3 bedroom luxury holiday home next to Chanonry Point lighthouse, beaches & golf
Why Rose G chose Fortrose
Chanonry point is my favourite place in the world. I feel so privileged to have my children growing up thinking it is normal to see dolphins every day. I love the light here, the amazing beaches and most of all I love staying here in deepest darkest winter - there's something about the lighthouse, fire on and having the place entirely to yourself!

A very pleasant holiday
The position of the property was perfect. The presentation also perfect. We had daily shows from the Dolphins and it was nice to just have to walk 100 yards at the most to get back"home". There were a number of pleasant walks in the vicinity. All in all a very nice place to stay although I feel that in the height of the Summer the point itself would be a little bit too crowded for us.
It's even better than it looks! Rose is fabulous too.
We were lucky enough to enjoy a short stay in this property in May 2019 and while the photos on here are good, the property is even better. The attention to detail is fantastic, Rose's communication and care exemplary and the location is incredible. If you are looking to book a trip to the highlands, this is the place to be!
Each turn of the tide we waited for the dolphins and sure enough they obliged, along with their seal friends. The spacious and really well equipped kitchen was our main hangout during the day with supplied toys giving our 4 year old girl plenty to do.
The beds are big, comfortable and warm. The ensuites being a nice treat for us and an amazing novelty to our daughter, very grown up.
The drive to and from Inverness is very pretty and doesn't take long at all, certainly not as long as Google will have you believe. Easy access to Loch Ness or Glen Affric made for amazing days out and we can't recommend the slightly longer trips to Brodie Castle and the Highland Wildlife Park enough.
In summary, amazing.
P.S. The Harry Gow across the bridge is too tempting and well worth a stop any time you pass it.
What a wonderful stay in this lovely house - with dolphins every day. Rose was attentive and helpful and the house was amazing.
There are so many wonderful things to say about this cottage that it’s hard to know where to start. Absolutely brilliant location, beautifully decorated, well appointed, spacious, comfortable...and Rose is so easy to work with. Our party of 4 (my husband, sister, great aunt and me) agreed it was the perfect home base for our Scottish adventure. Thank you to Rose for sharing her lovely home. I hope to return one day!
Thanks for leaving us such a lovely review Michelle - it was a pleasure having you as guests and I am really glad you enjoyed your trip to the Black Isle and Scotland : )
Our visit to Fortrose/Rosemarkie was wonderful. Love the people and the area. Wish I lived there.
The house was great. Warm, inviting, great kitchen . The beds were comfortable, loved the heated floors and towel racks. Having the beach at your back door is brilliant. The walk along the beach/golf course to Rosemarkie was easy and great exercise. Then there is the magnificent lighthouse and the never ending search for sea glass. Perfect.
Exceptional property five stars plus
I can’t express enough how truly wonderful this property is. Its very well appointed and exceptionally clean and comfortable, absolutely beautiful location, scrumptious welcome pack was definitely the cherry on top of a very well iced cake. Perfection!
