I currently split my time between Tahoe and Reno, but this used to be my primary residence up until 2 years ago so this is not your typical rental home. I have kept a lot of the extra's in the kitchen for your enjoyment (nice pots and pans, glassware, etc.) along with the 60" Samsung flat screen tv.
Agate Bay Realty, Inc. purchased this house in 1999
I initially bought this home for my primary residence and wanted a home that was close to Tahoe City so I could leave my car on weekend and either walk to bike to town. I also was looking for a home that had good privacy and since this lot backed to open space it fit the bill.
I extensively remodeled the home for my primary residence. I did put in heated slate floors so my dogs wouldn't ruin the carpet, sky lights for a brighter feel, back deck with hot tub for apres ski, and landcaped the front yard with flagstone and plants and trees to enjoy the outdoors.
This house was awesome, close to town but far enough from the road to be quiet. Outdoor seating areas are beautifully landscaped, and the kitchen is fantastic. Great place for a Tahoe get away.
My friends and I had the opportunity to stay at the Cullen home for Labor Day 2016.
Everything at the house was well appointed and labeled. The decor and touches were so warm and inviting. Thank you for creating such a lovely space!
Great house with lots of room. Read the instructions for bear beware---as we did follow all the suggestions and still had a visit from a bear on our deck. Yelling at him scared him away and he did not return. But it did not interfere with our family weekend of fun playing cards games, walks on the beaches along the lake where dogs could go, and dining out at various restaurants and in house too.
The home is very well-kept and it's in a great location. We walked or biked into Tahoe City daily during our week-long stay. The outdoor space is lovely and the open-concept living area downstairs was great. The only thing we would change is the set-up and furniture in the living/family room. There's really only one couch, which wasn't enough space for us to sit and visit as a family. The stairs are also a little steep and partially open on one side, so that was a bit of a safety issue for our little ones.
We found the house to be very cozy and charming. It felt a little smaller then pictured, but it worked fine for the 6 of us.It is a very thoughtfully designed space. We enjoyed the outside areas, especially the hot tub.We had a few issues, and found the people at Agate Bay Realty super helpful and responsive. A few suggestions for those of us that like to cook:Salad spinner broken, need some large bowls, and toaster not working. We could not find an iron and would have loved extra towels. We would stay here again for the location to town, beaches, and restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Cullen home. The house was very charming, spacious, well kept, and was in the perfect location on the West Shore. In fact, before we left the group agreed we would rent this home again soon!
