Apartment for 4 minutes from sea, country and city.
The Brighton Beach Hut is minutes from the best kept secret beach in Brighton and 20 mins into the city. Walk/cycle along the seafront to Hove without crossing a road, stopping off at the Marina first.
The South Downs opposite the house provides wonderful walks. The sunny apartment is newly decorated with a funky yet cosy decor, well-equipped kitchen and space outside for bbqs. My place is perfect for couples and families with space for bikes and boards. One small dog welcome, as are all!
Clean and uncluttered with a retro feel, The Brighton Beach Hut is a two-bedroomed flat with lots of garden and a patio for sunny breakfasts. The kitchen is new and fully-equipped with everything you need to cook a meal for 4. However, there is also a small BBQ/firepit for those warm evenings at home or at the beach. Off the kitchen are the bright and sunny bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has an original Victorian brass double bed and old Welsh wardrobe. Bedroom 2 has two large single beds with wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a door into my house but it is locked at all times and may only be used in an emergency. All beds have new mattresses and bedding. The utility area has a washing machine, cleaning equipment, ironing board and iron, clothes dryer and hairdryer and ample room to store your belongings. Beyond this is the shower-room, small but perfectly formed. The large sitting-room looks onto the garden. There is a TV which is equipped with a streaming device for watching live and catch-up programmes, and a CD player.
As the Hut is connected to my house, you may hear muffled voices or the radio but not late at night or too early in the morning, and we do aim to keep the noise down, especially if you have little ones that need an early night!

About Miranda Pellew
Ovingdean is probably my favourite place in the world, with the sea and hills just moments away and the best city in the UK just a short cycle ride away. I probably should get out more though! My constant companion is Vlad the terrier though I also have two lovely teenagers. I've travelled a fair bit in my time but it's more difficult these days so I'm looking forward to the world coming to Brighton. See you soon!
Miranda Pellew purchased this Apartment in 2002
Why Miranda Pellew chose Ovingdean
I've put my love and imagination into designing The Brighton Beach Hut and have learnt many new skills along the way. This is the decor that I would like to stay in for a holiday and I hope you will too!

Adorable, super well-equipped and spotless. And around the corner from a splendid seaside walk.
Terrific spot from which to explore Brighton and the southeast of England. Miranda couldn't have been kinder: lovely linens, flowers, wine and fresly baked cookies awaited us in the spacious cottage.. So welcoming! Thanks, Miranda, for a wonderful stay.
You're most welcome Charlotte. Lovely to meet you albeit briefly, and do come again someday!
Brighton Beach Hut very located
Visiting the south coast of the UK, we enjoyed staying at the Brighton Beach Hut. With only a few minutes walk to the beach and only 5 minutes drive towards the Marine area at Brighton, the location is a strong point of the Brighton Beach Hut. The facilities including 2 bedrooms, bath room, kitchen area, living room and a green garden make any holiday break to a success!
Everything we needed with brilliant dog walks right on your doorstep. Lovely stay.
Thank you Janine, it was a pleasure to meet you all. Hope you come back soon!
Stylish and comfortable
Very pleasant accommodation in a good area for local walks and getting into Brighton. We had quite a short visit so didn't have time to do a great deal of exploring. Fun decor and comfy beds!
very clean and comfortable with interesting wallpaper
We were attending the Labour Party Conference. in the City Centre. It was very easy to get to and from the conference by bus, and good to get away from the hustle and bustle to more peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed the bottle of wine and crisps left to welcome us....a change from the usual tea and biscuits.
Homely but funky too!
The property was well maintained and had all the utilities , utensils and materials that you would require for a perfect holiday.
The owner was very friendly and welcoming with lots of goodies for us on arrival which was much appreciated .
The property was conveiniant for the beach and there are lots of buses to take you in minutes to other beaches and villages too,as well as Brighton.
The local beach is a short walk away and very pleasant where we sat and ate and drank at the little cafe watching the sea! but as retired people we found a beach that was easier to access without steps further along the coast ; that only took minutes to get to on the bus.
The property is perfect for young couples and families and as retired people we also found it convenient . However , as retired people we struggled with the TV which is equipped with a streaming device for watching live and catch-up programmes, and a CD player. Unfortunately we could not manage to get the live TV when we wanted to relax later in the evenings!
There is parking at the property and frankly you do not really require your car very much because the public transport is so good. Just beware the driveway is very narrow with a lamppost immediately in front!
The Brighton Beach Hut is a charming property with a lovely ownet.
