Why Vicki Applewhite chose Ocean Springs
Once you have seen the Art House, you will understand there is nothing else quite like it on the Coast. Outside, it's quaint and unassuming appearance opens to reveal a meticulously designed and maintained home created with entertaining and enjoying the outdoors in mind. Even the artifacts in the home are unique, collected from travels over many years.
What makes this House unique
In the Art House, you will find an expansive kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The beautiful dining room table seats up to eight dinner guests under a beautiful chandelier. Though there is only one Jack-and-Jill bathroom between the two king bedrooms, it is equipped with a walk-in shower that has seating and eight jets. The Jacuzzi tub is positioned with a flat screen for hours of relaxation and entertainment. Outside, the expansive deck brings the outdoors in, with another flat screen television and outdoor lounge around a large fireplace. The patio is surrounded by seasonal flowers with a large fountain that fills the background with the sound of splashing water. It's truly a magical place.

Lovely house close to charming downtown.
The house was beautifully decorated with a great shower and kitchen. I was not expecting to share the outside area with guests at the adjacent house so there was not as much privacy. Also there is an active train track next door with a train passing several times a night.
Relaxing and quiet
Beautiful property in great location
Lovely place in a location convenient to town, the beach and other activities. Good kitchen and well supplied. Wished a little less on the train and a little more on total privacy, but overall a very nice stay.
I was traveling with my parents and my two small dogs. To say that I was impressed with our accommodations is an understatement. The owners made the check in process very easy. And the The ART House is fabulous and very comfortable. This is definitely somewhere to escape to for that perfect respite. While we did hear a few trains go by, I personally did not find objectionable the sound of it passing by. The owners were attentive in that they responded to any requests immediately. I cannot say enough about this beautiful abode in Ocean Springs. Can't wait to go back.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover that there was SO MUCH outdoor space! There is a HUGE covered deck with padded comfy chairs, ceiling fans and a lovely view. We used the pool on a very hot afternoon and our three-year old loved it.
Hope to return soon!
Very comfortable and full of surprise decor with just steps to dining and shopping
The property is well maintained and generously supplied. The surprises include though provoking art throughout and a premium shower with water coming from all directions. Walkable to the beach and a charming shopping and dining downtown. Pool and hot tub. TV's throughout and great courtyard. The more days we stayed the more we just wanted to stay put on the property.
Just minutes away find quaint Downtown Ocean Springs with shopping, dining and entertainment along Washington Avenue and Government Street.
