Had a wonderful peaceful stay in Margaret and Mark's beautiful home only surpassed by their warm and welcoming friendly reception.

Couldn't thank them enough for their help navigating the area

Our Irish Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a stay in a rustic cottage in the countryside - and St Columb's Coach House met and exceeded our expectations. Cozy and quiet, the was perfect for the vacation that we had in mind. The village of Inistioge is charming and scenic, and perfectly located for day trips around South East Ireland. Our only disappointment was that we were not able to stay longer and explore more of this beautiful country. Our Thanks to hosts Mark and Margaret for their cheerfulness and helpful advice and information.

Comfy but rather tired!

  • 3 of 5

Lovely setting with a short 10 minute walk into the village which is lovely and has a couple of pubs and 2 or 3 cafes but nowhere to eat in the evening after 7pm.

The cottage was spacious and comfortable but very old fashioned. It had pretty much all you need but we just felt it had not been really cared for. The only really poor aspect was that the only shower was hopeless. You either got scalding or freezing water all without any pressure.

Owner's Response: We appreciate your comments and have taken them on board. We have investigated the shower problem and have found that it is due to Irish Water reducing the water pressure at our meter. We have spoken to them and they are in the process of solving this problem. With regards to eating out. In Thomastown, which is just over 5 minutes drive away, there are 3 restaurants that are open in the evening.

Our hosts were gracious, welcoming and kind. Loved this guest home as a quiet private spot central to many charming towns throughout southeastern Ireland. Our family of 4 loved our stay. Thank you Mark and Maggie!
