TREGLISSON〜Seaside Fairy Tale Lodge With Unbelievable Sea Views & Popular Beach

Bedrooms 5
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

It's Like Being In A Tree House Looking Out Over The Sea, 3 Minute Walk To Beach

Proudly perched high on the crest of Looe hill above Seaton beach is the truly unique Bavarian lodge/Swiss chalet fairy tale inspired property of Treglisson.

The spectacular panoramic far reaching south coast sea views as you walk in take your breath away, to the east you can see exceptional Cornish coastline stretching all the way to the romantic walks of the Rame Peninsula chapel, to the west framed by the majestic Monterey pines is the mystical island of saint George sitting peacefully in the bay of the historic fishing town of Looe.

Purpose built for open plan holiday living the downstairs opens up through french doors to the large front terrace giving oodles of indoor/outdoor communal sitting, dining and entertaining space.

Situated along a very quiet hilltop lane, It's very peaceful and sunny position is perfect for unwinding and recharging.

This is the place to be on those long summer days, its magical up here in the trees watching the boats bobbing about on the open sea.

Featuring 5 bedrooms, 5 parking spaces and fully equipped fitted kitchen for all the family, and every stay includes a gourmet Cornish produce welcome hamper full of tasty local treats for you all to enjoy throughout your stay.

Seaton Beach goes mad in the summer with ice creams, flip-flops, suntan lotion, fish and chips, happy children and tourists from around the world, it is a big sandy beach and dogs are permitted.

You find yourself waking up in one of the 2 master bedrooms to the sound of the sea softly lapping and the reflection of the sun on the ceiling, step through the double doors out onto the sky balcony and take in the warm coastal sea breeze while looking forward to a day on the beach.

After enjoying buttered toasted Cornish saffron cake drizzled with our own honey in the magical mature private garden you find yourself wondering down the path in front to the beach for a refreshing ice-cream and a swim.

You look up from your watch to see children exploring the rock pools, plenty of time for a quick nap in the sun before lunch at the beach café.

You spot the Waves Restaurant & Bar which is just a short walk along the seafront and the perfect place to dine after exploring the area.

After lunch you pop back to Treglisson to drop of the wet towel and change into your shoes, time to explore Seaton valley walk which winds its way alongside the river, up the lush wooded valley deep into the nature reserve. Can you see an Otter or Deer?

In the evening you enjoy watching the dancing flames of the open fire and lounging on one of the 3 Chesterfield sofas while the underfloor heating seeps through the crema marfil marble floor warming your feet.

Above the Jotul no 6 designer fireplace there is a 60 inch Wall Mounted LED 4k Super HD 3D Flat Screen TV with built in ceiling stereo home cinema sound system. There are 5 pairs of active 3D glasses, a Blue Ray/DVD player with a selection 2D and 3D Films, also 2 game consoles with a selection of games, so there is fantastic entertainment options for all.

After a long day, relax with a glass of bubbly on the front terrace and let your batteries recharge while listening to the sea and watching the twinkling stars, the distant flash of the Eddystone lighthouse and passing ships gliding over the waves.

Then up the princess spiral staircase to bed, there is also a normal staircase in the main side of the house which is useful for elderly guests.

The views will capture your heart and leave you aching to return to this beautifully-presented well equipped coastal home year after year.

You can see Brittany Ferries and HMS warships going in and out of Briton's ocean city of Plymouth.

Plymouth is famous for it's Smeaton's Tower Lighthouse on the Hoe, Pilgrim Father Steps, National Marine Aquarium, Barbican Boat Trips, and countless seafront cafés, bars and restaurants.

Experience the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the sea and sky are always changing, one day you get heavy rain and stormy seas, the next day the sun is burning brightly with a mirror smooth sea.

Discover The Coastline, you can walk for miles along the beaches in both directions and the coast path from the house to Looe is one of the best in Cornwall.

Seaton is a small coastal village, there is the Waves Restaurant & Bar, Seaton Beach Cafe, Smugglers Pub and Beach Shop all on the seafront.

Seaton is joined to Downderry on the seafront, Downderry has the Blue Plate Restaurant, Inn On The Shore Pub and 2 convenience stores.

Perfect Holiday Home For Bringing The Bikes, Dogs, Surf Boards And Kayaks.

Amazing break

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our two staffies had a fantastic break, the beach is ideal for the dogs and in fact everywhere we went was dog friendly. The house is very well equipped and Shaun and Petra were very helpful, nice touches of some local produce (including some

dog biscuits). We would have stayed longer but the house was already booked, we will be back.......

ps. try the Blue Plate restaurant in Downderry its fantastic

Fabulous accommodation in a wonderfully dog friendly area. Charming and helpful neighbours. Superb.

Owners have furnished and equipped the house to an extremely high standard and we were able to share many meals and good times together. The garden is also beautifully designed providing a number of outside spaces to relax.Games, DVD's, local maps and guides were also very useful. The owners also spoiled us with a welcome hamper which included honey from their own bees and the freshest of eggs from their hens. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending a stay in this very special property.

Treglisson is a fabulous property that is fitted out to an extremely high standard with excellent communal spaces and well furnished bedrooms and bathrooms. The views from the property are spectacular and the ability to park up to 4 cars is a major advantage.

Inside the property, the kitchen was well equipped and there are several entertainment and gaming facilities suitable for all ages.

The location offers a great base for exploring this area of Cornwall. An extremely friendly area for dogs, Seaton beach included.

Lovely property with large terrace from kitchen/living area and two balconies from the double rooms. All newly equipped v strong power showers, everything clean and bright, new gas and microwave cookers, open fires and TV with DVDs/Netflix as described.

Plenty of luxurious linen and towels, Miele washing machine/drier and dishwasher.

We didn't realise until towards the end of weeks stay that there is a reasonable restaurant and a small store in Seaton - saves nipping to Downderry or Waitrose.

Don't make the mistake of nipping down St Michaels steps to the beach or you'll be berated for two days. They're privately owned. Better to go via the road still only 10 mins.

Fantastic hills for any cycling enthusiasts. (cycle to Hessenford, turn right and immediately left past pub, then 1st left and follow trail through forest area. Turn right at about 2 miles to hit a short sharp 23% hill).
