Relaxing and peaceful
Lovely little cottage if you want to get away for some peace and quiet. Everything you need and nice comfy beds. Will recommend this cottage to our friends.
The property is lovely and cosy, very well equiped and perfect for a relaxing break.
The property is perfect for a peaceful get away, very quiet, in beautiful rural setting. The property has everything we needed, and Amanda checked in to ensure we were happy and settled.
The property is very well decorated, has under floor heating which was very comfortable, and was very clean. Everything we need was available including ample parking for our car. We didn't need to store bikes etc., however there was access to a secure garage.
The property is within an easy drive of Chepstow, Usk and Ragland, with lots to do and see, and we only scratched the surface. Castles, abbeys, a mine, spas, parks and forests, the list is endless!
A welcome in the Welsh hills.
A clean and cosy cottage in a lovely location. We had a very warm welcome from the owner, Amanda who gave us excellent instructions to help us find their farm. The little shetland pony and the walk to the lakes on the property made it a little bit special.
Perfect little get away for a girls weekend, beautiful garden to sit and enjoy the sun, owners are very welcoming, bigger than it looks in the photos! Will deffo book again
Wonderful little cottage
A very warm welcome from Amanda. This cottage was very comfortable and was very well equipped. Had a very peaceful 5 days in lovely surroundings. Lovely countryside & a good base to visit family.
Thanks hope to be back.
Chepstow and it's surrounding area have a wealth of activities to enjoy. Chepstow and Raglan castles are amongst many castles close by. Tintern Abbey and the famous Wye Valley are just a 10 minute drive. Wentwood and the Forest of Dean are close for walking and mountain biking, with pedal-a-bike-away in the Forest of Dean having marked tracks for different levels of mountain biker.
St Pierre Golf course is approximately 6 miles from the property, and the 2010 Ryder Cup Celtic Manor course is around a 20 minute drive.
Symonds Yat is about 35 minutes away and is a lovely village, right on the River Wye, a great place to visit and spend an afternoon, with lunch in one of the local pubs or cafes, ice cream by the river and lovely walks along the Wye. Canoeing and kayaking are very popular from both Monmouth and Symonds Yat. Details can be provided on request.
The cities of Bristol and Cardiff are both easily accessible, with great shopping and restaurants in both.
Rugby matches in the Principality Stadium are a highlight, as well as Cardiff Castle, museum, and the bay.
