This very well appointed beach apartment is located at 119 Voorhis St, Fort Myers Beach, FL on the second floor (just 1 flight of steps up) of a multi-unit building. It’s located in a desirable & quiet section of the island that’s quite popular amongst vacationers, recognized for its combination of being away from the crowds, yet in very close proximity to one of the nicest sections of actual beachfront on Fort Myers beach.
The unit sleeps 4 total guests with its 2 queen beds (each in their own private room). Small, well-behaved pets will be considered too*. The unit is fully renovated and well equipped with practically everything you'll need for you beach vacation. And as the owner lives in another unit, he’s very happy to help you with suggestions & advice to ensure your vacation is a great one!
And on the topic of beachfront proximity: Note that this property is located just one block away from the beachfront, only 800 feet away, with a dedicated beach access. This way you’ll be out on the sand in just a couple minutes walk, without having to pay the hefty premium pricing charged for typical, small beachfront accommodations.
Also, to describe the unit itself in a bit more detail:
Nearly everything is newer in this property. There’s a gorgeous eat-in kitchen with upgraded granite countertops, stainless steel appliances including a 4-door fridge, a convection oven & a nice and quiet, low-decibel dishwasher. There’s high-end travertine flooring, new paint and ceiling fans in every room, updated lighting throughout, solid-core doors & hardware, newer sofa & loveseat, elegant bathroom vanities, crown molding & chair railing and much, much more! The owner had intended to reside in this unit, hence all the impressive upgrades that were made, but due to a bit of change in plans, you are the one that will get to benefit from them!
Also of mention: the 2-zone wine fridge, the multiple kitchen sinks (which are great for gatherings and prepping those holiday meals), 3 newer LED tvs (A large 55" tv in the living room & 40" tvs in each of the two bedrooms), wi-fi is throughout the property and there’s streaming internet to all tvs too (ex: Roku, Netflix).
The unit comes with its own private second floor balcony (a perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee) and there’s a courtyard with a 5-burner propane BBQ grill and an outdoor sofa set that was added down below too. Note that there’s convenient, shared coin laundry equipment located down on the 1st floor as well.

Within just one short block of the unit you will find: Junkanoos restaurant (a beachfront restaurant for sandwiches, good pizza & drinks), the upscale Fresh Catch Bistro restaurant (Hint: try their happy hour $7 lobster mac & cheese and $5 Godiva Chocolate Dream martinis!), as well as a convenience store, a fully equipped gym (Hammerhead Gym) and jet ski rentals and Dolphin tours. There is also a bus/trolley stop at the end of the block that will take you down to the Times Square section of the beach for just $.0.75 per ride (Hint: download the ‘Ride LeeTran’ app on your phone for an up-to-the minute bus schedule).
And within just another block or two there’s also: a Chinese restaurant & buffet (Lin’s Garden), a German-American restaurant (Heidi’s), a good breakfast [and lunch] diner (The Pancake House), Mexican food, a pizza parlor, a beach equipment rental shop, a masseuse, a bank, and more. Go just a little further still and there’s a bike rental shop (Island Cycles), a full-service grocery store, the Fort Myers Beach public library and the historic Mound House with over 2000 years of island history.
1.2 miles to the North is ‘Times Square’ which serves as the Downtown district of Fort Myers Beach and is the hub of island activity. It’s just a short $6 taxi ride away, or rent a bike and you’ll be there in no time at all. Then again, since you are on vacation, it’s just a pleasant 25-30 minute walk down the beach anyway! And it’s especially nice as you catch the sun setting over the water in the evenings.
In Times Square you’ll find numerous restaurants, bars, shops & live entertainment—feel free to ask the owner for recommendations as he’s lived on the island for the better part of the last 15 years.
And the island of course has its share of additional amenities such as boat rental facilities, kayak rentals, a movie theater, sunset sailings, tennis courts and a community pool with waterslides that the kids are sure to love.
One week minimum rental periods.
Check-in is 4pm (or anytime thereafter) and checkout by 10:00am. Exceptions are often available, if planned out in advance.
A refundable security deposit is typically collected, but again is fully refundable. Pricing is based on 2 people and additional fees may apply for additional occupants, children and/or pets. No smoking inside the home—outside ok.
*Pets policy: Small, well behaved pets will be considered. Due to prior issues (noisy nonstop barkers!), pets may not be left at the property unattended. In the event a pet becomes a nuisance, it is the house policy that the guest may be required to make alternative arrangements for the pet for the duration of their stay. Again though, well behaved small pets will happily be considered!
***Note that there is currently a SIGNIFICANT amount of nearby road construction here on Fort Myers Beach on the main thoroughfare, Estero Blvd, and delays are to be expected as a result. Feel free to contact me with any questions or for status updates about it!***
