You won’t find a more spectacular view in all of Istanbul. The Maramara Sea, the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus and the historic skyline of Sultanahmet are all there to greet you upon entering the Blue Pearl. The spacious office area and living room lead directly to the balcony, from which you can enjoy both your morning breakfast and breathtaking views. The sunny and bright, granite-floored living room has two large sofas, one of which can double as a bed. Two marble baths. Two bedrooms. And a kitchen filled with every appliance you could ever desire. Oh, and did we mention the views?
This exceptional apartment is located in the trendy neighborhood of Cihangir and has some of the most incredible views in all of Istanbul. The area is home to cozy cafes, top-rated restaurants, local shops, trendy bars and an interesting, diverse mix of people. Istiklal Street, Taxim, and the tram to the historic center are all within 10 minutes walking distance. This is the place to be and apparently the UK Guardian agrees, calling Cihangir one of the five best places on the planet to live.
The Appartement was very nice, it has a fantastic view. We had a perfect holiday with our whole family and our little son. Thank you for your everything!!
Everything about this place was perfect for us. We were two couples travelling so wanted something with a view and a great location. This had that and so much more. All the correspondence beforehand was excellent from Kadir and Demet and we booked the transfer from the airport through them which was well worth the money, so much less hassle. Plus we were met on arrival and shown around the place but perhaps more importantly given a lovely welcome with so much sound advice! Istanbul is hilly so anywhere you stay will involve hills/steps. This place is situated outside of the main tourist areas of the old town but perfect for cafes and bars. Also easy walking distance to tram stops, Galata Tower etc. So as well as location and welcome the apartment itself is really lovely. Spotlessly clean and a perfect view to enjoy a drink before heading out each night as we did. All in all we cannot fault this place and if reading this review stop looking for other places to stay and book this!
The location of this apartment is unbeatable though not convenient for people with mobility problems. The view is amazing. . The neighborhood is nice and safe. We were walking at night and we felt safe. Stores and all we needed for cooking can be found walking distance however we did not cook much since there are many good restaurants around the apartment. It is very well equipped and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Pictures reflect the reality.
After we made the payment of our rental we received detail information of the apartment, neighborhood, restaurants, transportation, etc. The landlord has a very useful website that provides great information about the apartment, location, neighborhood, restaurants, transportation, etc. The process in general was professionally managed from the information provided in Home Away until our arrival.
Kadir and Dernet where waiting for us at the apartment to give us the keys they are very professional and friendly. Our stay was really memorable.
Note. we were using Uber. It is the most convenient way to move around in Istanbul.
The apartment is extremely comfortable, clean, well decorated and equipped, PLUS a view that is nothing short of amazing - an uninterrupted view of the water, the old city and the Asian side. So easy to sit on the balcony for hours and take it all in. The property photos are very accurate. Kadir and his team were very helpful in the booking and check-in process. The neighborhood is definitely "bohemian" SoHo, with many small restaurants, bars, galleries, shops and markets nearby. This is NOT the neighborhood for people with mobility handicaps, the elderly or young families - lots of very steep hills and stairs to negotiate. When the taxi drops you off for the first time, you may wonder why you are in this area of the city and is it safe. Then you see your apartment and you are wowed, and you begin to explore the neighborhood and integrate into this very non-touristy part of the city. Once you get down the main hill to the main road in front of waterfront (very steep, no safe sidewalks and aggressive drivers), the tram line is right there ready to take you into the old city and a wonderful day of exploring. We had no problems getting in 15K-20K steps per day during our 10-day stay in Istanbul. Note that the Internet is very unreliable in the apartment - when it works, it is great, then it just stops working altogether and you have to notify the property manager to get it started again. Very happy for our experience and fully enjoyed our stay in the Blue Pearl.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Pearl. The listing accurately described the apartment. Convenient location with spectacular views. The property was clean and well maintained. The common living area was spacious and comfortable. Beautiful granite floors throughout. The manager was wonderful and accommodating. A highlight of our visit was an afternoon at the hammam at the end of the street. We would recommend this apartment to our friends. The few slight negatives which prevented us from giving the property 5 stars are that it is in a somewhat mixed neighborhood, the second bedroom had to use the hall bath so lacked privacy, the bedrooms are back to back, again, impacting privacy, cruise ships docked just below the apartment marred the views about 50% of the time, no microwave and our water bottle was empty. Nevertheless, we had a great visit and would recommend the apartment to our friends.
This is a very nice apartment for 2-4 people in Istanbul. We left feeling satisfied. Because I believe the purpose of these reviews is to educate fellow travelers, and I don't feel like I got the full picture from the flawless reviews before me, I want to list some of the small negatives of the apartment.
The low point of our entire trip to Istanbul was the airport transfer that Kadir arranged for us. We thought it would be a privately arranged car, as that's what he described to us. When we arrived at the baggage claim, exhausted from a 15 hour flight, the person who was supposed to meet us was not there. Had I not kept Kadir's phone number with me and had an international cell phone plan, it would have been a problem. I had to call Kadir twice before we could find the guy, who seemed rushed and like we were one of many people he was rounding up that evening. Eventually he herded us into a cab and we were on our way, our first impression of Istanbul being quite a bad one. Not to mention, the driver spoke no English whatsoever as well; and I would expect a small amount of English because the transportation had been specifically arranged by Kadir. Finally, the price of the cab was paid directly to Kadir in Euros, which is what people in Istanbul do to take advantage of tourists, since Euros are far more valuable than their actual currency, Turkish Lira. We arrived at the hotel with a bad taste in our mouths because of all these things. Needless to say, I highly recommend arranging your own ground transportation in Istanbul rather than accepting Kadir's offer to arrange it for you.
The flat itself was quite nice, especially by the standards of Istanbul, which is a rather gritty (but beautiful) city. What you might not glean from the gorgeous photos on this website is that the apartment is on a tiny street that appears sketchy in the evening - though in actuality it is perfectly safe. To give you an example of what I mean, there is graffiti on the building where this flat resides, and there was a thrown-away toilet sitting on the curb for the duration of our stay, along with a garbage dumpster. Still, unless you decide to stay at one of the 5 star hotels, I don't think you're going to find much better in Istanbul, since the apartment itself is modern and well-kept.
The wi-fi was spotty.
As I said, overall the flat was great and that's why I give it 4 stars. Had the airport transfer not been so awful and the wi-fi stayed on, I'd have given it 5.
We really enjoyed the location and the stunning views. Kadir was friendly and extremely helpful when I was booking the Blue Pearl and it lived up to our expectations once we arrived.

Prior to your arrival, the apartment is fully cleaned by our professional cleaning service, bed sheets and towels are changed and the property is fully inspected to ensure that all advertised items and equipments are in good working order.
We highly recommend booking an Airport Transfer with us to facilitate a hassle free arrival. Regular taxi drivers often have trouble finding our apartments.
Beyoglu and Cihangir in particular is Istanbul's most trendy and multicultural neighbourhood. European professionals, local TV stars and a intellectuals live and work in the here. Taxim Square, Istiklal Street, Galata Tower and the Bosporus are all less than 10min walking distance. While the area offers plenty of restaurants and entertainment options, the property is located in a very quite street.
Public transportations are also at a close reach from the apartment. The tram, a convenient, cheap and reliable way to get to historical sites, is at a short walking distance from the flat. The metro and buses are also within walking distance.
To make your stay even more enjoyable and convenient, we offer to organise a variety of popular and bespoke services, i.e. a nostalgic Bosphorus boat trip, special guided tours through the city, a multi-lingual nanny service etc. For relaxation you might want to complement your activities with a massage or a yoga and meditation session, all in the comfort of your CAST accommodation.
