Why Jane Kay chose Padiès

We first saw La Salle in September; driving into what was then a farmyard the only sound being the background buzz of nature. Bliss . The middle of nowhere, incredible views, peace and quiet ; a complete contrast to city life. And a bit of a creative project too... 15 odd years later we are still at it!

Absolutely perfect

The house and all the facilities were absolutely fantastic, it had everything you could possibly need and the layout of the house and surrounding areas was perfect. The pool was perfect (had shallow areas for our daughter) and was really well maintained during our stay. Graham who looks after the property was very helpful and made sure everything was well looked after, and that we were having a good time. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for an easy place to stay, with total peace and quiet around. A really lovely find!

Beautiful family home in idyllic surroundings

We were a party of two large-ish families, and fitted perfectly into this beautiful house - there is a children's room with 2 sets of bunks and a large sofa-bed. The house provides a perfect balance of practical utility and homely touches, and the generous spirit of the owners is evident in many small details, for example - offering the use of their firewood for the wonderful open fire in the dining room, inviting us to eat any ripe fruit we found in the orchard (apricots, when we were there), and a stack of paper plates on our arrival, to make up for the lack of dishwasher (the only drawback for a party of our size!) Our children enjoyed the pool, which was the perfect size, and the surroundings were really idyllic: rolling hills, church spires and not much else. We ate outside, used the bbq almost every day for lunch, visited Albi and its impressive cathedral, and generally had some much-needed R&R. The local agent was very helpful, and Derek made the booking a very amicable process. Highly recommended.

True peace and quiet in the French countryside

Perfect for family and friends looking to relax and get away from it all. Loads of space, great pool and table tennis, really homely and friendly feel. An honest country farmhouse with no pretensions. Power down your 21st century chattels and grab a book, then crack a beer and have a barbie ready when the more adventurous return from their trip to Albi (25 mins) for culture, provisions and WiFi. High maintenance holidaymakers need not apply (although I believe a dishwasher is planned soon). No walkable local bar or square (although Valence is only ten minutes - restaurants, Spar etc). Just countryside, lovely sunsets and stars, and 'hang on, where are we?' rural walks. And friendly local Graham to answer questions or remove the odd wildlife visitor from the pool. Our first proper family holiday for 8 years - there was a lot riding on it. And it delivered everything we needed. We would recommend it heartily, we hope to go back next year, and we might even bring friends. Thank you.

Un séjour authentique, calme et chaleureux !

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans ce petit havre de paix ! La propriété est magnifique avec ses fleurs, ses arbres fruitiers, la table de ping pong et, bien-sûr, la piscine avec vue sur les pâturages ! Un vrai bonheur ! La maison est très bien équipée, les chambres sont spacieuses, claires et aérées. Graham, le gentil concierge, habite à deux pas et est à votre disposition si vous avez le moindre souci ! Aucun bémol donc, d'autant plus que la région regorge de trésors à découvrir !

Maidon idéalement située pour qui aime le calme et la tranquillité

Tres belle maison bien équipée. Les chambres à l'étage permettent aux enfants de dormir plus tard s'ils le veulent.

La grande cour devant la maison permet de déjeuner à l'ombre ou au soleil selon l'envie du moment.

La vue très dégagée est magnifique et la piscine idyllique.

Quant à mr Kerr qui nous accueille il est extrêmement sympathique.

En résumé un lieux de vacances des plus agréables.

Très contents !

La location nous a pleinement satisfaits, aucune mauvaise surprise. La piscine est très agréable et bien protégée. La maison, avec beaucoup de charme, a pleinement répondu à nos attentes.
