Jenny and Kieran
About Jenny and Kieran
Well travelled Australian transplants, Jenny and Kieran, have enjoyed long careers in science research and mathematics respectively. While visiting Ireland, they fell in love with the scenery and history and culture and just never left.
Why Jenny and Kieran chose Terryglass
This estate has a fairy mound on it and it truly does seem an enchanted place. Though always beautiful, the scenery is constantly changing moods with the light and the weather. You will often find yourself stopped dead in your tracks, (whatever you were doing), by some new, ephemeral quality of the light. A golden ray through a cloud, a rainbow, a sunset over the glittering lake... It is just magic. You will feel moved, as you settle in, to slow down and savor the moment.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The mansion is historic and grand, but also fully renovated so you can enjoy the modern comforts, such as wi fi and heated floors. It is truly a luxurious experience.

Our group of 8 friends spent 3 nights at Slevoir House in Terry Glass. We loved the house and the property and Kieran took good care of us. We appreciated all the firewood! Home is large and beautiful, just like in the pictures. Very clean and comfortable for a group. Highly recommend!
Great group of people to host. They were all very friendly and left the house very clean and tidy. I can thoroughly recommend them to other hosts.
Irish road trip
Lovely secluded location and almost in another time. The property is very large, if you're lucky you may also get to have a tour of the whole house. Really spectacular! Decor has been beautifully thought out, house was lovely and cosy with the fires. We were a large group traveling with several small children and the house was easily manageable with very young children. Thanks to Jenny & Kieran for all the hospitality and patience to given so many tours to one group.
Loving Lough Derg
Our family spent 8 magical days at Slevoir House in Ireland. Everything was perfect - well, a bit less rain would have been nice! I wish Jenny and Kieran lived next door - they are charming, helpful and always available. We all hope to return!
This is a spectacular home in a spectacular location. Our visit was fun and memorable, especially the time we spent touring the grounds with the caretakers, Jenny and Kieran. We would recommend this home to anyone looking for a little piece of heaven!
Just returned from five (5) fabulous nights at the lovely Slevoir House with our family group of thirteen. Wonderful experience all around, just not enough time to enjoy it all. The house and property are really beautiful, begging for you to curl up with a book and a cup of tea (or a beer) by the fire and enjoy the view of Loch Derg or hire a boat to explore the lake. Our group included four first time teenage visitors to Ireland so we used Slevoir as a base for our day trips to Galway, the Aran Islands, Blarney Castle, Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher and Limerick. Suggestion? Book it for two weeks so that you have time to enjoy the lake and Ireland’s tourist sites.
Jenny and Kieran were on the property and available to provide suggestions and address any concerns and to give us a tour of this impressive property. We had a couple of issues with the water but these were resolved within minutes with a text to Jenny. Our advice is that you need to reach out to Jenny and Kieran with any concerns. It is also worth noting that while the house is on the lake, access to the lake for any of the activities listed is a short drive away.
We also wanted to mention that at Jenny’s suggestion, we reached out to Damien Doyle, the owner of the Derg, to cook us a dinner at Slevoir House. This was a highlight of our trip. Damien provided a fantastic barbeque dinner on the expansive lawn of Slevoir
What a majocal place! Can't wait to come back!
