A SPACIOUS & COMFORTABLE MODERN APARTMENT BUT . . .
The apartment was extremely clean, tidy, well-equipped and, above all, felt much more spacious than we had anticipated. Overall it exceeded our expectations.
A real problem affecting our stay was building work taking place throughout our stay in the next door apartment, just a few feet away - with noise and loss of privacy making it impossible for us to use the balcony during the day. No warning to expect this had been given to us by the owner.
What a view!
Fantastic place to stay, great views over towards Monaco where we caught two firework displays! Lots of steps down to village and back, lovely local restaurants. Would love to visit again. Thanks for sharing your apartment with us.
Property was exactly what we wanted. Lovely and clean, all mod cons and great view.
We arrived late and had a bit of trouble locating the place but once in we relaxed straight away. Local bars and restaurants were good quality and little shop kept us going. Locals all v friendly and helpful. Sat on balcony every evening with our drinks. We did the 800 steps to the beach which kept us fit! Got to see E1027 which was main reason for our little jaunt. Would come again.
It's the view
The apartment was clean and well-appointed. The view from the balcony is outstanding. We had happy hour and ate dinner there every evening.
Medieval village and stunning views
Cosy apartment close to the historic centre of the village with its charming alleys and wonderful views. A visit to the medieval castle is a must as is a visit to the excellent restaurant 'The Grand Inquisitor'. Jill's apartment had everything needed for a self catering holiday, was very quiet and has stunning views from the balcony.
This charming apartment is situated on the edge of the medieval village of Roquebrune, so benefiting from the romance & history of the picturesque ancient buildings, but having modern amenities itself.
The immaculately clean, winding streets of the old village surrounding the 10th century castle, which overlooks the area, give endless scope for exploring, and here you will find many restaurants & bars to suit all tastes & budgets. The famous 1000 year old olive tree is on the path down the hillside to Menton. Should you wish to walk, the coastal paths give stunning views & are within easy access.
Menton, about three miles away, is an attractive seaside resort with beautiful shops & a great many restaurants.
The Italian border, with proximity to towns such as Ventimiglia known for its market, is no distance. The opposite direction takes you to the glamour of Monaco, with the beauty of the famous casino, world renowned shops & the spectacle of the yachts in the harbour.
