Villa Melina is approached from the road that takes you to Porto Katsiki beach. As the grounds are sloping, a private road and a few steps lead down to the villa’s main entrance. In the ground floor you can find the sitting room area, kitchen with dining table, WC and a large extra room where the washing machine is. A stair takes you to the upper floor with the two bedrooms each with a balcony with uninterrupted seaviews and the bathroom. Outdoors, you can enjoy the private swimming pool, relax at the sunbeds provided under the shade of the sun umbrellas and forget it all enjoying the amazing views of the Ionian Sea. You could also practice your cooking skills by preparing a BBQ and enjoy your meal gazing at the unique sunsets.
The villa is conveniently enjoying total privacy and quiet, yet it is so close (only 800m) to Athani village and to the best beaches of Lefkada (only 5mins drive) some of which are voted best of Greece.
Villa Melina and Villa Eleni are two exquisite 2-bed villas, totally independent and completely private from one another as they are located at different ground levels. Each has its own private swimming pool, garden/patio area with sunbeds, sun umbrellas, BBQ, shower and dining furniture where you can relax and enjoy the stunning sunset and sea views. They are built next to nature, surrounded by olive groves and located only about 7mins walk from Athani village and about 5 mins drive from 3 of the best beaches of Lefkada such as Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Gialos.
Both the villas are of similar size, design and interior decoration. They are fully equipped with a/c, satellite TV, CD and DVD player & CD and DVD library, fridge/freezer, 4-hob kitchen, oven, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, iron & iron board. They both have 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and the other one with two single beds. A folding bed can be added to the second bedroom so as to accommodate up to 5 guests. The villas have one full bathroom with hydromassage shower and an extra WC. Both villas promise a stay full of relaxation and tranquility, away from it all.

We saw and booked villa Melina online thinking this was exactly what we needed for our vacations. When we arrived at the villa, we were thrilled to see that the villa was even better than the photos (photos should definately get replaced with better ones!). A peaceful spot to ensure tranquility, nice surroundings, wonderful seaviews. We very much enjoyed dining at the terrace and enjoying the incredible sunsets while sipping a nice glass of pinot noir! Overall, the villa had everything we needed for us and the kids. The owner was very responsive and took speedy action when something small was missing. A big thank you for that and for the flexibility upon our departure time. We will definately come back.
This villa is truly the definition of paradise. The home is as advertised and the pictures do not do it justice. Lefkada is a wonderful island with the best beaches in the world. The family that owns the villa and Greco Levante are very welcoming and hospitable. Greco Levante was by far our favorite restaurant on the island. The food and wine are home made and very delicious. We will be back many times in future years!
Egremni Villas was exactly what we were looking for, a place to get away from it all and completely switch off and relax from our busy work life.
Anna & Nico were welcoming and there for any advice or help but also left us to it and weren’t invasive.
The villa was large, comfortable with a funky design and equipped with everything we needed. It was the perfect place to chill, our own private pool, sunsets and the only noise was from a cricket or two.
You do need a car to get around and see the three beaches close by – Egremni Beach – 350 steeps steps from road to beach, Porto Katsiki -150 steep steps from road to beach or our favourite one where the locals go - Gialos beach which you could park right next to the beach.
You would miss out not having a car and don’t be put off by hiring one (as we almost were) as it’s definitely worth it. From the airport to the villa it takes approx. 1.5 hours but it’s a lovely drive and the roads do not get that busy as this Greek island is still unspoilt and traditional.
This is not a place to come for bar life and partying.
The main town Lefkada is well worth a visit to sit and have a coffee in its main street and watch Greek life and the locals pass by. Groups of old boys meeting for a natter and ladies stopping to shop, the place has a great vibe of Greek culture and we loved the town.
The villa was the main reason we would and will return. Just the two of us got to switch off, read, enjoy Mythos and G&T’s by the pool at sunset then watch the bats dart into the pool eating the bugs.
You can’t imagine the vast amount of sea in front of you ahead, and either side until you are there on their balcony, no photos can show this greatness. This makes for excellent day dreaming and witnessing the best storms you’ll ever see and of course the stunning sunsets.
A fantastic location, wonderful sea views, so peaceful and yet within easy reach (by car) to a choice of local tavernas. The villa is spacious, clean and comfortable and we were warmly welcomed by the owners.
The pool was great and there was always a cooling breeze, we loved sitting on the upstairs balcony to watch the sunsets.
The beaches are a short drive away, although the roads are not for the faint hearted!
Would recommend for a totally get away from it all holiday.
We have just spent a great week in this villa. We had great communication all along with the booking and payment process and had good details of how to find the villa. The owners live just up the road and run a great restaurant. They were very helpful. The villa and pool were spotless and they get leaned every 3/4 days. There is plenty of room for a family of 4/5. It is very lose to some spectacular beaches but be prepared for some steep steps. Thank you Anna and Nikos for a lovely holiday.

Breathtaking and world-famous beaches, sandy, long, with turquoise waters are close by (Egremni within 2 kms, Gialos within 3 kms, Porto Katsiki within 8 kms). Porto Katsiki beach has been voted as one of the best beaches in Greece and even the Mediterranean!
With surroundings full of greenery, fields, olive groves, mountains, wonderful sea views, our villas offer a private escape to an uncommercialized and unspoiled region of the island. Endless choices exist for communication with nature & countryside exploration as well as familiarization with local culture & history.
Athani village, a short walk from the villas (just 800meters), is the closest village to the villas. There, you can find 2 mini- markets, restaurants, a café. The closest restaurant to the villas (5 mins walk), just before you reach Athani village is 'Greco Levante' restaurant. It is owned and operated by the villa owners. Its specialities are made by fresh, own produce as the family also has an animal farm and a vegetables garden (both can be visited if you would like so).
You can find all kinds of amenities such as bars, restaurants, ATM, medical centre, super market, all kind of water sports at the picturesque village of Vasiliki (15Kms), which is considered to be the capital of the south of the island. Its bay is well-known as a windsurfer's paradise. Vasiliki accommodates numerous other activities such as Scuba diving (school), Snorkelling, Sea Kayaking, Windsurfing (school), Private boat hire etc. Minimarkets, butcher's and bakery can be found much closer than Vasiliki, at the village of Agios Petros (8kms).
A visit to the southeast part of the island, the so called Doukato cape, is a must-visit. The legend says that the poet Sapfo fell from the steep cliffs as she was disappointed from her love.
