About Carolyn

We are a family of five with two sons and one daughter.

This property is owned jointly with our daughter, who as a a professional actress, with irregular work and income, wanted to get on the housing ladder and have a place to call her own!

As for me, I worked as an NHS Catering Manager and School Meals Catering Adviser in the North West, then moved into Property lettings and management when the children started school, specialising in student, young professionals and family lets.

Philip, Kathryn and I look forward to welcoming our holiday guests and hope that you will have some wonderful holidays in Mevagissey.

Carolyn purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Carolyn chose Mevagissey

We fell in love with this property the moment we saw it! The cottage had been in the same family since the 1870s and now it was going to become part of our family history.

We have spent over a year renovating and reconfiguring the whole property so that it still has two bedrooms but also now has a large bathroom, while retaining the character and period features of the orginal cottage.

We first started coming on holiday to Mevagissey over 20 years ago and all the family love it here.

It is a great place to come to relax and recharge your batteries!

What makes this cottage unique

Completely renovated in 2016

Parking for one vehicle included

Outstanding views of the harbour, lighthouse and out to sea

Close to beaches, village and countryside

Outside seating area at rear of property

Fabulous restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops within a few minutes walk

Easy access to South West Coastal path

The house feels like home when you walk through the door!

Perfect family get away

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at 19 Polkirt Hill.

The house was immaculate and had everything needed, it is very well equipped.

Carolyn had left us a bottle of champagne, some local tea and fudge as she knew we were on our honeymoon, there was even confetti on our bed and the towels had been folded into hearts- what a lovely & thougtful touch.

Beautiful views of the harbour and sea.

It was so lovely to sit in bed and watch the sunrise. The house is in a great location in very easy access of the Harbour & Village.

We enjoyed being able to walk to the little beaches and around the harbour.

We also ventured to the beach mentioned in the handbook that is in the house. It is def worth the short walk & many steps down to a hidden gem beach.

It was perfect family holiday.

We enjoyed a lovely boat trip, crabbing & fish and chips sat by the harbour.

The house is set in a peaceful village.

There are plenty of pubs, cafes & restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay and will def be back.

Perfect location & amazing cottage!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is lovely inside, really well laid out and well maintained. The views are amazing and it is ideally positioned, just a minute or two walk to the village centre.

The owner was also really helpful and quick to respond to questions. We will be returning for a longer stay!

Thank you Carolyn

Sad to have left this morning as we had a lovely time. Cottage and views of the harbour were perfect. We will definitely return and have already recommended the cottage to friends who were keen to know where we have stayed.

A lovely property, very clean and welcoming.

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely short break staying at this property. The property was immaculate and had everything you need. We arrived in the dark so the view from bedroom window first thing in the morning was very memorable!

It was great to be so close to the harbour and the restaurants and pubs! The owners were very helpful when booking and through out our stay.

We would definitely recommend.

Lovely cosy cottage

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic short break in a lovely character cottage, very close to the harbour. Plenty to do in and around Mevagissey, parked the car on Friday and didn't use it again until it was time to go home. Thoroughly recommend.
