Three beautiful self-contained appartments situated in the medieval heart of Sarlat overlooking the Wednesday and Saturday markets which are reknowned throughout the Perigord Noir/Aquitaine region of France. Set in a 17th century building, they feature exposed oak beams and stone walls, these holiday studios /condos are full of medieval charm whilst providing all the comforts of home. All the appartments are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, including combination microwave oven, fridge, hob, toaster, coffee-maker & kettle plus all the required crockery, cutlery & kitchen utensils required to make sure you can prepare your meals with ease for any day you have managed to resist the temptations of the gourmet restaurants which are right on your doorstep. Adjoined to the Mairie/Town Hall of Sarlat, these holiday appartments are perfect for exploring all the winding, cobbled streets with their wonderful medieval architecture giving you a real taste of typical French market town living. Sarlat is also ideally placed for exploring the wider Perigord Noir area with it's world-reknowned prehistoric sites such as Lascaux iv, Font de Gaume, Pech Merle etc not to mention the 1001 chateaux in the Dordogne valley just waiting to be discovered, all of this set in the most breath-taking scenery where around every corner there is another delight for your eyes to feast on. In Sarlat you can try all the Perigord's specialities such as Foie Gras, Walnut gateaux or truffles, not forgetting the fabulous local wines from Bergerac and Bordeaux, in the many traditional French restaurants which are all within 5 minutes walk of the appartments with the added bonus of no drinking and driving problems.

About rhona smith

We are a Scottish couple , originally from Edinburgh, we moved to Sarlat in 1997 when we opened a small campsite in the Vezere valley (25kms from Sarlat). Having gained a lot of local knowledge over the previous 11years , we decided to start our holiday appartment business in 2008 to help supplement our campsite income after having renovated the 17th century building, over several years. We live only 3 minutes from the appartments so we are always on hand should our guests need us whilst they maintain their privacy in their self-contained appartment.
