An ideal place for holidays, banquets and special events
'' Happiness lies in taste and not in things; we are happy because we have what we like, and not because we have what others find pleasant.
(François De La Rochefoucauld)
An ancient convent whose origins date back to the 16th century, it has always been a place of hard work in the countryside: vineyards and olive trees were traditional crops and today they have remained.
Its twenty hectares are all cultivated, spread over the morainic hills facing the south-eastern shore of Lake Garda, in the immediate vicinity of Valeggio sul Mincio, just 5 km from Peschiera del Garda: in the heart of the Bardolino wine production area and White of Custoza.
Formerly Casa Marzago must have been the seat of a female convent, from which it derives the characteristic of a closed, completely enclosed court, unusual in the rural courts of the Veneto region of Lombardy. The religious, within the walls, had everything necessary for the livelihood: piggery, dovecote, chicken coop, vegetable garden (the current garden to the east) with aviary, cattle shed (the current cellar). The outhouse outside the court (near the parking lot) was used as a stable for horses and conigliaia.
The manor house is completely renovated and elegantly furnished with the style and traditions of the Fabiano family that has preserved the typical "country house", and that now shares it with those who want to stay in a quiet rural place in an atmosphere of conviviality . Guests are offered 6 comfortable and spacious rooms with bathroom, equipped with all comforts, two of which with kitchenette, for a total of 20 beds.
In the large room with fireplace or under the porch breakfast is served; a typical tasting cellar welcomes guests for the presentation and tasting of our wines and other products of our production.
