We just completed a one week stay in this wonderful apartment. We were two families (four adults and six children) and we were comfortably able to stay in the apartment. It seems amazing that 10 people are able to find a place at this price with this location!
It was big enough that we were able to spread out during downtime and the evenings. While the kitchen is small, it is fully functional worked find for our needs.
The view from this apartment is simply stunning. Waking up to a view of the Eiffel Tower... and watching the light show at night while going to bed... is one of the memories that my kids will take with them.
Exceptionally easy access to metro/train, restaurants and grocery shopping. Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame are within walking distance and the sights to see along the way are fantastic.
Checkin and checkout was seamless... and the owner was very helpful and nice in every step.
We will be recommending this apartment to friends and expect to return!
Did I mention the view of the Eiffel Tower? :)
We had a party of 10, 6 adults/4 children. There are three apartments available in tower A and we tried all three as the big apartment was not available on the first night. One apartment holds six on level 7 with a good view of the tower, One apartment holds four people on level 14 with no direct view of the tower (unless pressing head up against the window). Then there is the apartment on level 14 that holds ten people, with tower view. The view is fantastic, the location of the apartment is next door to a major train station which was convenient but not close enough to walk to attractions, close to supermarket. The owner lives in the big apartment so there is only one hanging rack in the hallway for clothing to be hung, their personal items in cupboards. Facilities were fine for the 10 of us, the only problem we had was the owner letting herself in and out of the apartment and grabbing items on numerous occasions, once she rang the door bell but we didn't even have time to open the door before she was in again. She even left us a note on our table while out grabbing groceries that all fans and lights must be turned off while we were not there!! The apartment is hot with no air conditioning, three fans, lamps only for lighting. A cash bond is held by owner till check out, you will see the list of rules she has that will violate return of the bond, she made us feel uncomfortable during our stay unfortunately.
This place was absolutely perfect for our party of 10. If you are 5 couples looking for privacy, this may not be ideal. lol We were a group of 10 that were looking to enjoy Paris.
People complain about the small kitchen, we thought it was so perfect. You don't even notice the size because of the beautiful view of the Eiffel tower. Our party of 10 made coffee every morning and sat around the kitchen and living room staring at the unbelievable view.
The location was great, right next to the train station. There was a grocery store and pharmacy right across the street - very convenient.
Airport - shuttle bus is right outside of the building, it was great.
My favorite part of the trip was hanging out at the end of the night in the living room, staring at the twinkling tower, and recapping of our adventure in Paris.
I would love to thank the owner for sharing her home with my family.
We traveled to Paris with our Girl Scout troop of a total of 9 people and we were able to comfortably fit everyone in the apartment. It was very spacious, which surprised us, considering it's a European apartment as opposed to an American one. The train station was conveniently located close by, which was great for our travels throughout the city. The Air France airport shuttle that stops right by the apartment was wonderful as a low cost way of traveling to the airport at the end of our visit. The only issues we had concerned the kitchen. It was rather small (typical for Europe) and the dishwasher was awkwardly located and difficult to access. Also, since the space is lived in, the kitchen's storage was filled with the owner's things and we could not store our groceries in the cabinets and drawers. This wasn't a huge issue, but it is something that should be kept in mind if one wishes to buy their own groceries.
The view of the city of Paris (including the Eiffel Tower!) was amazing. We loved gathering around the windows at night to watch the Eiffel Tower twinkle. We also highly recommend the farmers market that is located close by. Their produce was delicious and we went through more fresh apple juice than we could possibly count.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this apartment for any large group who wish to visit this wonderful city.
Absolutley amazing accommodations, with a breath-taking view of the Eiffel Tower. Great communcation with owner. Historic area of Paris, close to everything and wonderful recommendations. Two separate elevators to reach flat, but all went remarkably well. Grocery market right across the street with scrumptious cafes near by. A bonus that the Metro was very near by. Down one flight of stairs. We would definitely come back! There were 14 of us (the max capacity), which comfortably leased 2 flats for 5 days, 4 nights and left very happy! Highly recommend these accommdations. Perfect Bastille Day, 2014 location~ What a Grand Finale, the last day of our 2 week tour of France to watch Fireworks from this level and view of the Eiffel. Priceless memories.
Shahin was great to work with. Having never rented an overseas property, I was unfamiliar with wiring the deposit. She helped me through these issues, was prompt to meet us upon arrival, and had already determined the best places for all of us to sleep (2 families with a total of 5 adults and 4 children). The view of the Eiffel Tower was outstanding and the proximity to the Metro and sights was perfect. Because the apartment is a corner apartment, we could open windows in every room and get a great breeze through the apartment that kept it very comfortable. There were a variety of great places to eat nearby. Upon checkout our deposit was promptly refunded. We are all excited to return to Paris in the future and would gladly stay in Montparnasse again!
