'Coral Reef' Holiday Rental Apartment is stocked with many amenities that other apartments lack. Look in the kitchen cupboards and you’ll find everything you need to cook a mouthwatering dinner (we even have a juicer and a bread maker). We also offer two complimentary bicycles, so you can be at one of the nearby beaches, restaurants, or markets in a matter of minutes. For families with young children, we have plenty of equipment to make your stay easier, including a stroller, a baby monitor, and extra bottles.
'Coral Reef' self catering holiday rental apartment has three bedrooms: one master suite with a queen-size bed (double), one guest room with two queen-size bunk beds, and a daybed on the terrace that sleeps two. The terrace converts into a fully-enclosed room with air conditioning, blackout curtains, and a foldaway glass covering. The master bathroom includes a double sink, a bathtub, and a shower. The shared bathroom has a mosaic tile shower and Italian marble countertops and walls.

When we were looking for a home to purchase in Costa del Sol, we searched all the cities, up and down the coast. When we found La Cala de Mijas it was no longer a question of what town to buy in, but what apartment complex to call our home. We quickly found Oasis Cala de Mijas, which is a high quality, low quantity complex, built with care and consideration. Only 30% of the property is built upon, leaving 28,000 square meters of well kept sub-tropical gardens, including 2 saltwater pools.
Our two apartments are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor, both accessible via an elevator. The entire complex is handicap accessible, and ideal for families traveling with children. You do not need a car while staying here, as you can walk from the apartment to just about everything, including the beach, bars, golf, restaurants, retails stores and more.
We love the architecture in our complex, with traditional Spanish style, combined with a modern look. Italian marble is all around, and the layout flows seamlessly from one room to another. We have included all the features that you would expect to find in your neighbor's home, so it is not just another holiday rental. Some of these features include:

The apartment was excellent. (rooms, kitchen, Jacuzzi etc.) There is absolutely nothing to complain about.
Most of the time we spend at the pool enjoying the sun. We visited shopping centers and in Fuengirola and Malaga. (and of course old town in Malaga)
Every evening we visited to local restaurants. Some of us even sang karaoke at The Henry’s bar.
Hopefully we can get back to spend the holidays in your apartment.

Booked this online some months ago and when we arrived it came as a pleasant surprise to the standard of the appartment. It was almost like living with the owner as their personal possessions were all around. The appartment is superbly equipped with Washing M/c, dishwasher, fridge freezer and large TV with "ExPat TV" Then other nice touches like a Sat Nav, a Tablet and even a printer to print boarding cards off? within the underground garage with room for 1 car per appartment came a store cupboard with things like 2 bikes, inflatables and even a childs buggy which was useful to us. They provided a cot for our 20 month old grandchild and there was even a selection of toys to help keep hip occupied. The appartment was air conditioned, this covered the master bedroom with ensuite bath and the other rooms including the 2nd bedroom which had a double bunk bed. the settee in the lounge made up into a double bed. The original balcony has been glazed off to provide room for a fantastic large Jacuzzi and a further settee that makes into a further double bed. Although the glass slides back fully to make it open there is no air conditioning, on the balcony, which made it difficult for anyone to sleep out there in August. The appartment block is probably the most secure place i've been to whilst on holiday with secure underground parking and keys needed to gain access to the site as well as leaving. The appartment block shares several pools with a neighbouring blocks which was immaculately kept and maintained although no shallow area for babies and toddlers. Quite often we were the only ones using the pool and it never got crowded at all. There were loads of nice touches which made our holiday a most enjoyable experience. Its certainly somewhere I'd use again and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
I visited the Coral Apartment in La Cala Mijas from July 17th – 26th. My stay was beyond what I had imagined.
I had issues with the company I had booked pick up from at the airport, but I would say to anyone visiting either Coral or Sandy apartments that the train service (which is in the airport was easy to use and cheaper) that you would get to Fuengirola, then walk round the corner to the bus terminal and jumps on the m220 bus all the way to La Cala Mijas and get off in town, easy option and cheap. After that its a 5 minute walk up to the villa.
At the villa I was met by Jane, the contact person for the apartment. Jane is extremely friendly and by using a phone app always had her at hand for issues. We were shown around the villa complex first stopping off at the swimming pool closest to villa. The pool is pretty big and perfect for families. It has quite a few sunbeds you can use and table areas with sun parasols on them. It even has a block with toilets/ changing room.
After this we were shown through the garage area (perfectly safe for car storage if you decide to hire a car) where you can also borrow the bikes that are there. Then we made our way up to the first floor where the Coral apartment is, and all I could say was wow! It is a fairly spacious apartment, larger than I thought. Very clean and has all the extras you will need.
The apartment has one main double bedroom with en-suite which leads out onto the seating area outside. This outside area also contains a day bed for another person to sleep on. To the right of that is the Jacuzzi area. This is able to be segregated from by means of blackout curtain.
The next room contains a double size bunk bed. Also contains a closet to put your stuff in. The living area is joined with the kitchen, it has a few single seats and large sofa which can also be used for sleeping on. The living area leads onto the Jacuzzi area which again is segregated by means of glass doors and pull down shutters. A shower room is also beside the second bedroom. The whole apartment has the aircon which was amazing as the temperatures easily climbed during my trip. And for those with children who get bored easy, the PlayStation 4 should keep them amused.
Okay so, the area itself is very friendly. There is a Lidl supermarket at the bottom of street which was handy for most essentials. Just a few minutes walk over the bridge is the main town area and in front of that a fantastic beach! Again there is plenty of shops and
At the first moment when we saw the apartment and Sally was there to show places to us we were positive excited. There were everything we thought and even more! Games, books, chocolate, vine, coffee, etc. All you need. Even navigator in our own language. Wow. Clean and silence, safe area. Shops and restaurants close. Easy to came from airport. Einar and Sophie has made ecxellent book, where they told what to do and what to see and how to find those places. We tried almost every. We drove over 1000 km:s in 11 days. Busy days:)

We have just returned from a week here, 7 girls celebrating the end of university + a birthday, and we could not have asked for a better time. The pictures don't do the apartment justice of just how nice it is and Sally was a really lovely welcome and made us feel at home straight away! The communal pool was the perfect place to relax as was the beach which was only a short walk away.
Would recommend the friendly Lazy Sundays bar and the amazing Ginza teppanyaki restaurant - an experience not to be missed! La Cala de Mijas is such a nice town and it wasn't difficult to get to our night out in Marbella from the town either, and the market on Wednesday was a great source of retail therapy.

We have been holidaying in La Cala for over 11 years and can honestly say that this is the best apartment we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. All the hidden extras were a lovely surprise and we'll definitely be booking again for an out of season break. The only improvement we would have liked was some UK TV stations to watch on the occasional evenings we chose to stay in. But the quality of finish to the apartment and residencia is excellent. Just returned from a wonderful stay at Coral Reef in La Cala de Mijas. The apartment had everything we could wish for - with the highlight being the on-terrace hot tub. We enjoyed great weather while we were there but, being February, the pool was still a little too cool for a dip even though we did managed to get a little sunburned while sitting on the beach. The apartment is well located for many bars, restaurants and shops with Lidl acting as the 'corner shop'. Only downside for us was the sound/TV/DVD system which we found impossible to sort out, even with the aid of the ever helpful Sally. Surely it does not need to be so complicated!
There are so many facilities in the local area that you will never run out of things to do, with or without a car. La Cala de Mijas still has that small town charm and feel, yet the sophistication and amenities of a modern city. Every Wednesday and Saturday you can walk to the local market, where you can purchase anything from fresh produce, to clothing, jewelry, and everything in between. There are Irish Bars, English Bars and Spanish Bars, all within a few blocks of each other. You will find restaurants and retail stores up and down the narrow, cobble stone streets. A 10 minute walk will take you to an amazing beach, with miles of the Costa del Sol’s finest sand. A pirate ship playground is located along the beach walk promenade, and it is a big hit with the kids, when they need a break from the ocean. Two modern grocery stores are within easy walking distance of home. Take either public transportation or a car for a 10 minute drive to the enormous local shopping mall, Parque Miramar
Golf: The apartment is situated in the Golf Valley, with 9 excellent courses, including The famous La Cala Golf, Mijas Golf, Mira Flores Golf, La Siesta Golf, La Noria Golf, Santana Golf, Calanova Golf, and El Chapatral Club de Golf.
