Fantastic Stay at Cosy Nook
We had a fantastic week staying in Cosy Nook Cottage. The name says it all. It is not overly big inside and as a 6ft person I have to bend down to get through the bedroom door etc. but that all adds to the charm of this lovely well appointed home.
Joanne welcomed us on arrival and was available any time we needed but all was straightforward.
The house is spotlessly clean and recently renovated to a high standard in a small coastal village unspoilt by tourism, south of the Helford river on the Lizard. Small lanes to get to the village made it feel tucked away nicely. Pub 200metres away full of local character. Cracking café on edge of village.
We like walking on the coastal paths and this can be undertaken both north and south straight from the door.
We would recommend staying in this characterful home.
Very pretty, well equipped cottage
We've stayed in most of the cottages in Porthallow and this is definately one of the best. Cornwall cottages are not normally known for comfy beds and hot showers but this is an exception! Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Easy walk to the brilliant village pub which does good pub food and local beers. Nice to be able to bring the dog, he enjoyed snoozing in front of the wood burning stove. So peaceful! Like most cottages the living area is quite small but the sofas were comfy and furnishings very thoughtful.
Lovely stay in cosy nook would recommend to anyone who loves Cornwall for what it is, a beautiful peaceful home for our stay.
Lovely holiday cottage
We were very fortunate to come across Cosy Nook as it turned out to be the perfect place to unwind. It was a first holiday for our young Golden Retriever who soon settled in. She enjoyed ball chasing on the dog friendly beach and meeting other dogs.
Jo the owner appeared at the front door to welcome us, she was very informative and helpful. We were amazed how well equipped 'Cosy Nook' was. Comfy sitting room with log burner. Spacious bathroom with heated towel warmer and underfloor heating! Super comfy bed, we both slept very well.
The Five Pilchards pub is a short walk away and serves excellent food and local Cornish beer. Fat Apples cafe serves a substantial lunch.
We were sad to have to leave and hope to return. Thank you Jo

Lovely village with a great pub and beach.
Had a wonderful week.
