In the heart of the Golden Circle (N64°06.111' - W020°24.261'), a beautiful luxury cottage, located 70 minutes drive from Iceland's capital city Reykjavik. Here you are surrounded by peace and quiet with good view towards the glacier Langjökull. 30min. distance; Laugavatn, Geysir, Gullfoss, Hvítá, Stöng, Búrfell, Selfoss. 60 min distance; Hekla, Hella, Hvolsvöllur, Thingvellir, Langjökull (glacier) and a ferrie to Vestmannaeyjar. Guests can hike in the area or by the river Stóra Laxá, a salmon-river with plenty of fish and bird life. The house is 75 m2 with an open family/kitchen area and 200m2 outside deck. Hiking, horse riding, golf and plenty of sights nearby. The south of Iceland is famous for sightseeing and spectacular mountains and coastal scenery. Many gourmet restaurants are within easy reach. Grocery store are near by or you can buy straight from the farm, both vegtebles and meat.

The house is 75 m2 with an open family/kitchen area and 200m2 outside deck. Hiking, horse riding, golf and plenty of sights nearby. The south of Iceland is famous for sightseeing and spectacular mountains and coastal scenery. Many gourmet restaurants are within easy reach. Grocery store are near by or you can buy straight from the farm, both vegtebles and meat. Two golf courses are in the area 600m and 5km away plus 10 more in 60 minute drive radius.

Icelandic mobile phone comes with the house as a complimentary.

Absolutely perfect

I'm not sure how to not go over the top with this review to be honest. Pall was an incredible host going well over and above what any host should need to. We got stuck in rekyjavik due to bad weather so pall said to go back to his where we had tea whilst he tried, and did, find us suitable accommodation for the night. The next day a road opened but because the weather was harsh he wanted to escort us to ensure we got there OK. That was about 8 hours of his day lost to help us out! We really appreciated it so much. We checked out a day early as ity turns out friends of ours were in town.. Despite having made the booking pall wanted to get a partial refund.. Maybe it a UK thing, but this wouldnt happen in the UK! I also broke a suitcase and he offered to give me one to get my home. A lovely chap, with a lovely family.. The cottage was exactly l what we wanted. Warm, comfortable, extremely well provisioned, the hot tub was lovely. The location was excellent, enabling us to easily visit vik, the geysir, pingvellir etc and with a few tips from pall we found some pretty decent restaurants too. A great trip and the perfect host and holiday rental. Would definitely recommend Thanks pall.

This house is a MUST STAY!!

The owners of this gem make the whole thing even better! The house is amazing. Watching northern lights from the hot tub in middle of no where made my whole trip incredible!

Cosy cottage in peaceful location

We had a wonderful week with our 2 teenage boys, Pall met us at the airport and gave us a gps and a phone which was very useful and any problems we had he was always at the end of the phone to help, the cottage was lovely and warm, and was equipped with every thing we needed. The location of the cottage is ideal for the golden circle and many other places to visit. The secret lagoon (natural spar) in fludir was wonderful and well worth a visit

Very comfortable, excellent location

We had a brilliant time in this warm and comfortable cottage. It had everything you needed for a self-catering holiday. Pall and Sigrun were very welcoming and understanding when our plane was late. The hot tub was popular with all family members. There were plenty of toys and activities to keep children amused. The cottage is extremely well located in terms of views and outlook but also for visiting many places in South Iceland. Food was easily available in nearby Fludir however a longer drive to Selfoss meant much cheaper and greater variety of food. (the veg stop as you enter Fludir was well priced however). There are many attractions within a half hour drive - horse-riding, golf, hot river, Geysir, Gulfoss. I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to stay to explore this amazing area of Iceland.
