This stunning house is 230 M2 and was build in 2010. It consists of a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. There is a stone fireplace and a 5 m folding glass door opening out onto a wooden deck and the pool area. There is a fully equipped kitchen, scullery and double garage. The house has 3 large bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and there is a TV room with mattresses for 2 extra beds on landing.
The kitchen is equipped with all modern comforts such as double fridge / freezer, stove, dishwasher and kitchenware for 12 people. The scullery has a washer and dryer. The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and have comfortable double beds. The 2 bedrooms on the ground floor have direct access to the pool area. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. On the first floor there is a large landing, which is furnished as a TV room with DVD player a sofa and 2 extra mattresses.
We enjoyed our visit in the 1000 Hills area in this exceptional house.
Everything works, security is good, very helpfull owner and management.
We felt at home and very privileged, enjoying the stunning views from all rooms, waking up greeting the striped neighbors outside the bedroom windows and exploring the surroundings.
We believe that we have discovered one of our new “special spots” on the globe.

We just loved our stay in Phezulu House, a stylish home tastefully decorated with true respect for South African tradition and superb views across the Inanda Dam.
The house is in a great location for sightseeing close by and further afield ranging from the Shongweni Market in Hillcrest to a drive along the Midland Meander art route wtih weavers, potters, herb growers, cheese makers etc. If you decide to venture down to the Durban coast make sure to visit uShaka Marine World with the seal and dolphin shows and finish off your day with a fun swim in the natural rock pool known as Granny's pool in Umhlanga.
In diesem Haus zu wohnen ist ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis. Das Haus befindet sich in einem Wildpark. Zebras und Antilopenarten sind nur einige der vielen Tiere, die man überall begegnet, und die teilweise ganz nahe am Haus grasen.
Das Haus ist großzügig ausgestattet - angefangen mit der Doppelgarage, über den großen Wohn- und Essbereich, bis hin zum hohen Reetdach (wunderbarer romantischer Blick vom Bett aus) und den großen Schlafzimmern und Bäder. Auch die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, eher wie ein Zuhause als eine Ferienunterkunft.
Wir haben die Terasse und den Grill sehr genossen. An der Terasse schließt sich ein kleiner, privater Pool an.
Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die ganze Abwicklung unkompliziert. Vor Ort gibt es eine Mitarbeiterin, die mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen.
Alles in allem eine Unterkunft, die ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen würde!
My family of four stayed at the Phezulu House this August.
Let me share our experience in three bullet points:
#1 – Did the Holiday House meet our expectations? – no it exceeded our expectations.
#2 – Would we stay here again? – Yes and are planning to be back again. #3 – Is the view from the estate house really fabulous? Yes, definitely!
Open a bottle of wine and just sit on the porch and watch the sunset along the valley of the thousand hills each night.
The house was really big in size, clean, and very quite. It was brand new with very tasteful furniture and interior design. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to enjoy cooking. There was a great huge patio with a perfect pool to enjoy a glass of wine or two.
You walk just out the door along the private estate to see giraffe, zebras and buffalos.
There also are a great number of fine restaurants that are just next door to the estate.
Wonderful friendly staff. AAA, highly recommended.
Hillcrest is a up market suburb to Durban (30 km drive away), where people seeking a safer, less crowded rural lifestyle. Hillcrest is a small village bordering the valley a Thousand Hills, surrounded by green pastures and farmland. It is a retreat away from the centre of town, a place you could escape to cooler air and guaranteed peace and quiet. Hillcrest's residential zoning is characterized by equestrian estates, gated security communities, Golf Estates and Game Estates – like Phezulu Game Estate. There is also plenty to do in the area. Durban is a mere 20-30 minute drive away, with its vibrant pulse. In Hillcrest you will find the Shongweni Farmers Market which on Saturdays offers a wonderful place to buy organic and fresh ingredients. But in the centre of Hillcrest you will also find shopping malls with a verity of shops, supermarkets and café and restaurants. The main tourist attractions are: Durban beaches, Valley of a 1000 Hills, the Zulu Safari Park - and the Drakensberg.

High season is considered December, January and February. Rates are ZAR 16.000 per week in high season.
Christmas and Easter is considered extra high season, where we don't offer any discounts for second week booking.
Rest of the year is low season.
The price includes electricity, cleaning service once a week, pool service once a week and final cleaning If you rent the house for more than one week, there is a 25% discount for the following weeks (not for Christmas or Easter). If you want the house for a shorter period, please contact us, and we will work a price out for you.
The house sleeps 6 people - 2 extra bed can be added.
10% of the income from the rental of the house is donated to The Valley Project (helping AIDS victims, orphans poverty, etc..)
