NEW LISTING! (Tourist Licence No: VFT/ma/12080) - A modern 3 Bedroom house on the edge of the village of Almayate, near Torre del Mar, 30 mins from Malaga Airport. The 22m sq metres front roof terrace (including purpose-built BBQ) looks over open land and has a wide uninterrupted view of the sea. There is a peaceful, sandy beach 500 metres away. Almayate is a small friendly Spanish village with local shops, cafes and bars, banks, supermarkets, two popular restaurants well known in the area both with WiFi. The property has air conditioning in the living room and in each bedroom and a safe for visitor’s use. There is a shared pool for residents only 20 metres away.

Ground floor: Large living/dining area with 2x sofas, TV/SAT & DVD player, dining table & chairs. Fitted kitchen, larder & utility area with washing m/c. A small private garden area at front.

I stayed here for a week in March. I found the house very spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. It boasts 2 superb roof balconies one of which is very large and easily accommodated 5 people soaking up the sun on the provided sun beds during the day. In the evening all sat comfortably round the table whiling away the hours over some superb local Rioja and watching the sun set on the sea while the balcony BBQ was fired up.

The local beach is a 10-15 min walk away. It has 2 great restaurant/bars and the food is really good and inexpensive. Both restaurants have wi-fi. When we fancied a change we hopped on the local bus for the 6min journey into the neighbouring town of Torre del Mar (€1.30).

Almayate village itself has everything you might need - supermarkets, banks, butchers and bakery.

Bar Tolo in the village deserves a very special mention as a great place to eat and/or drink. Excellently prepared food and fantastic staff.

We will definitely be returning.

Attractions include an Aqua Park for all the family, Torre Del Mar has an extensive promenade and many restaurants, cafes and bars. Torre Del Mar has a large modern shopping centre nearby called Eroski. There is local go-karting, horse riding, bowling, tennis, scuba diving and catamaran hire. Places to visit include nearby Lake Venuela towards the mountains, Nerja and its caves only 25 minutes away and the traditional white hillside village of Frigliana. The famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is 1 hr 45 mins drive.

Baviera 18 hole championship golf courses and Anoreta golf courses are both only 10 mins drive away with driving ranges, pro shops and club houses.

The property is 300 - 400m stroll from the tranquil sandy beach of Almayate (10 minutes walk).

Please note if using Google Earth, the area photos are very out of date (October 2008). Now all building work is complete, all cranes & building materials have been removed so lovely outlook.

20 minutes drive...'The Añoreta Course was designed by the famed Ryder Cup Champion José María Cañizares.

The par 72 has a longitude of 6,016 metres for professionals and 5,833 for amateurs. Añoreta first opened in 1990. Añoreta Golf proves itself to be an excellent challenge for golfers of all levels with its varied and pleasant undulating greens surrounded by trees and water accentuating the natural beauty of the setting.

Many of the holes are trully spectacular, in particular hole 7 with its breathtaking seaviews.

The course offers a seventeen-hole par 3 bordered by an immense lake enhancing the emerald turf.'
