Great Accomadation in Brecon Beacons

  • 5 of 5

Spent a slightly damp New Year here hoping for a relaxing break after Christmas , before January return to work. This cottage did not disappoint. The location is great, a quiet country lane on the edge of the National Park, but only a short drive to a town with shops etc. The cottage itself is lovely, it has been renovated to a very high standard, with much attention to detail. All the fixtures and fittings are high quality, and there is nothing you could want for so far as equipment is concerned. The wood burner in the lounge will be the icing on the cake when it is connected. The owners were really easy to deal with and responded quickly to all our communications. This is a real gem, and I could not recommend it more.

Good quality, clean, spacious & comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for the August bank holiday weekend to visit friends who live nearby. The cottage has been well fitted with high a quality kitchen & furniture. Nice & clean, beds really comfy. Shower powerful with plenty of hot water. Wifi good & good phone signal. In a nice quiet location with only occasional passing traffic. Lovely to hear the stream running. Good selection of games & lots of DVDs to chose from. The photos don't really do it the justice it deserves, we loved it & will definitely be booking again for another visit. Can't wait for the wood burner to be installed! Thank you Christopher

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed your stay. The comment on the sofa is a little surprising as this is a high quality stressless leather sofa but I guess not to everyone's liking.

Beautiful and comfortable house. Well maintained, clean and spacious. Helpful instructions and information provided as well as provisions to help you settle in. All amenities worked and were modern and high spec. My family really enjoyed their stay including our small dog! Would definitely recommend as a good base to explore the area.

Wonderful base to explore the Brecon Beacons and South Wales

  • 5 of 5

We came with my 85 year old mother, who grew up in Wales, for a five day trip to Ammanford. The house is very well equiped and provided a most comfortable stay for us. We used it as a base to explore Southern Wales. The house is well equiped - excellen wifi - superb kitchen - very comfortable bedrooms - with a wonderful location in the foothills of the Black Mountains. We enjoyed visiting the ancient castle of Carreg Cenneg, the Welsh National Botanic gardens and our day trip to Tenby. There is a very nice 2 mile loop

around the lanes and roads at the house which my wife and I used for jogging. The drive up into the Black Mountains is stupendous, complete with wild horses and wonderful views, and the house would make a great location for going hiking in the beacons, (though we didn't do this).

Also enjoyed having dinner at Cottage Inn near Llandelo.

All in all, a very enjoyable stay, one we would happily repeat.
