Quality 4 bedroom rural accommodation in a picturesque river village.

This house is in a beautiful rural setting, close to a host of local tourist attractions. The property is fully independent with large front and rear gardens. Mainly lawn, but they also include a pond, a small brook and terraces. The accommodation is spread over two floors and comprises of: Four bedrooms one of which has an en-suite bathroom plus two additional bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Two of the bathrooms have W/Cs and there is a separate W/C on the ground floor. The kitchen is brand new and has direct access to the front terrace. The lounge and dining areas give magnificent views towards the pond and river and there is a wood burning fire place. English television channels are available along with wifi internet connection. There is private straight line parking for up to 5 cars. The property has been owned by an English family since 2001 and the holiday lets are managed by a local English speaking company who are on hand throughout your stay.

Excellent Property In Lovely Village

This is a fabulous property in Inxent, not far away from Montreuil (15 mins by car) and Le Touquet (25 mins by car). It is quite deceiving in that when you look at it from the front, you wonder how it could have 4 bedrooms. However, inside there is plenty of room – it’s a bit like Dr Who’s tardis! All the bedrooms are a good size, and 3 of them are effectively en-suite. The roof space is used to the full – there is no loft, so this is where all the space comes from. There is also plenty of room downstairs, with a large lounge area/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. The garden is fabulous too - so much space!

It is very well looked after and maintained. There are literally hundreds of books if you fancy a little reading while you are here. Wifi is also available all around the house. Plenty of board games too, if you fancy that.

We really enjoyed our time here, whether watching the full English Sky system, sitting in the garden, cooking tea and eating (and drinking wine!), playing table tennis or just generally chilling out.

Michael who deals with the property is very helpful – very friendly and always ready to answer your questions.

Highly recommended if you need somewhere in this area.

Relax and enjoy!

Brookside is a truly marvellous holiday home for couples, families and groups of friends. It is comfortable, spacious, superbly well equipped and tucked away in its own lovely private gardens. It has easy access to all this beautiful region has to offer - in our case, sand yachting at fashionable Le Touquet. For a relaxing and convivial stay in the heart of the French countryside, we think it's unbeatable!

Perfect rural getaway!

Wow. Battery recharge accomplished! What a fantastic setting for a relaxing few days away from home, yet with all the comforts one would expect at home. This spacious rural house caters for large groups or families at any time of year, with a log fire for the colder months and lots of space outdoors to take advantage of in the summer. A stones throw from sandy beaches and beautiful countryside in every direction, I can't recommend this property enough! .... Not to mention the chocolatier just down the road! Merci beaucoup.

A fantastic home away from home!

A group of 6 of us stayed at this lovely house over the New Year period - having stayed here for a week over the summer we just had to come back.

What a fantastic place to stay! The house itself really is superbly maintained and in a beautiful setting. The garden is expansive, tranquil and a welcome break for anyone visiting from a city like London. The interior is genuinely so comfortable and homely - we spent hours just relaxing in the lounge with the log fire burning, it was wonderful!

The house is located in a lovely rural village, remote enough to feel secluded and yet close enough to places such as Le Touquet and Montreuil for those wanting something more lively. On top of that, just a 5 minute walk from the house is the Auberge d'Inxent - a fabulous restaurant serving traditional, local dishes with an extensive wine list.

Some members of our group like to play golf and they were spoiled for choice - we counted roughly 5 golf courses within a 30 minute drive of the house, all, I am told, of a good quality.

The house really was perfect. It offered something for everyone in the group and it was such a luxury to be able to feel so at home when on holiday. We had a fantastic time - I cannot recommend it highly enough and will be returning as soon as possible!

Relaxing holiday in Idyllic surroundings

This very impressive family home ticked all of the boxes. Set back in the peaceful village of Inxent, and less than an hours drive from Calais, it did not take long for the family to settle into holiday mode.

The house is extremely well maintained. The log burning fire really brings the home to life in the evenings and creates a cosy atmosphere. There is a large dining room table where we enjoyed many a family meal.

My sons were very impressed with the play station in their bedroom, but thankfully even that was not as impressive as the huge garden they could spend hours playing games of hide and seek in, not to mention practicing their skills on the full size table tennis table.

The location is excellent. The Auberge restaurant in the village is a must for any visitor, as is the chocolate factory in the next village of Beussant. We also enjoyed days out in the nearby towns of Montreuil, Berck, Etaples and Le Touquet.

Just a little further was Boulogne where a visit to the Aquarium is a must.

The nearby town of Attin has a large Supermarket allowing you to stock up on the essentials.

A well deserved 5 star rating. Impressive home in an impressive location.

Wonderful house - wonderful location.

An extremely well appointed house with modern facilities yet retaining the olde worlde charm of country living.

Set in huge gardens, sitting on the patio with a glass or two of wine viewing the herons trying to poach fish from the well stocked huge pond at the foot of the rear garden is what life is for.

Very peaceful and with Inxent's highly recommended auberge restaurant a few minutes walk and the Beussent chocolate factory / shop five minutes drive away, there is little need to venture further.

But if you become restive, the valley in which Inxent sits is particularly pretty and a short drive through brings you to Montrueil with its abundance of restaurants and excellent market. A few miles further is the coast and Le Touquet may beckon.

However, our main enjoyment was in the garden and house, especially at night when in March, it can be chilly in the evening only to be warmed by a lovely log burning fire. And of course, a family Scrabble competition with, yes you've guessed it, another glass of wine.

A house and location that left nothing to be desired.

This delightful family holiday home is in Inxent, probably the most attractive village along the river Course valley which runs some 25 kms between the market town of Desvres and the ancient fortified town of Montreuil sur mer. This beautiful rural retreat is within fast and easy reach to a number of beaches on the Côte d’Opale including Le Touquet, Merlimont, St Cècile and Hardelot. The property is on the outskirts of the village in a wonderfully secluded spot surrounded by rich green country side and a number of natural water features provided by the river itself. The village boasts a well established 18 century Auberge and a number of other historical buildings, along with a small equestrian centre and children’s farm.
