Absolutely Perfect Property

  • 5 of 5

You will not regret if you stay in this Absolutely Perfect Property. The location is away from the crowds a 15 minute romantic walk along the Arno river to Florence centre, even winter time it is as pleasant as during summer. The apartment is clean and should you decide to go by car there is a parking place in the neighborhood. You do not have to search and pay for one, Simona is helpful and sweet. Go and meet her! Just one small recommendation to Simona- please put the heating on one day prior to the arrival of the guests. It was a pleasure to stay here.

We enjoyed the apartment very much. The location is quiet and close to the bus and taxi stop.

Apartment had everything for a comfortable living. It was very clean and spacey. Simona is an outstanding hostess. She accommodated to all our needs and was very flexible. We unhesitatingly recommend this apartment.

Thank you Simona.

Simona's Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Pascal for staying up late waiting for our arrival. Simona's place was very spacious and comfy, I loved how the french window open from the kitchen to small balcony. The apartment has two bedrooms one with a king size bed and the second bedroom has a Queen bed and a twin bed, the bathroom with a shower, kitchen and livingroom. The apartment is about 15 minutes away from San Mianato al Monte and about 20 minutes to Ponte Vecchio walking distance. Simona was very accommodating the night before our departure she tex us and offer to call a taxi for us to take us to the train station. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you and when we return to Florence I definitely would stay here again

Great stay! Can't discribe how much we had appreciated

  • 5 of 5

Thxs a lot again Simona for your nice apartment and lots of help u have offered before and during our stay. It was great u could offer check in at 24:00h at night and next day extended check out for us(we had to check out at 11:00, but she offered us an another apartment to keep our stuffs),so that we could have stayed longer in Florence.

Just for the information for family who have kids(we have 2 small ones with us): the apartment is located at a very quiet street. It is very spacy, comfortable and quite safe for kids. The center is just about 20min. walk way, with bus 23. u could easily reach every sights within 10min. PS: Simona even offered a baby Cot for free for us :)

Best regards,

A home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Cozy apartment with all amenities and great location. This location is nearby bus stops that can take you to all different points of interest, a 90 minute pass on the bus will run you 1.20 Euros and you can be anywhere in minutes.

This apartment is very clean, cozy, quiet and can make you feel at home, we were greeted by the owner and were given a nice tour of the property, the owner's friendliness and warm welcome has definitely made a great impression on our visit to Firenze and will definitely come back and stay at this apartment. Buon viaggio a tutti!

Great Apartment, Location, and Host

  • 5 of 5

My family of four (with two teenage girls) stayed in 3 rentals on this vacation in Paris, Venice, and Florence, and Simona's rental in Florence was BY FAR the best of the three. The apartment itself was nice and comfortable- plenty of space for a family of four to spread out a little and relax, comfortable beds in 2 separate bedrooms, comfortable living room with two small sofas, small but functional kitchen and bath, and best of all- air conditioning. We used the kitchen primarily for food prep (breakfast and sandwiches for lunch) and not any serious cooking, but it seemed to have everything you would need to cook real meals (we did make some pasta one night, but nothing more complicated).

We loved the location- easy walk to anywhere you want to go in Florence, but with a quieter neighborhood feel. Walking up the Arno on this side of the river each day toward Ponte Vecchio to cross into Florence was so nice- great views, relaxed pace- before being met by the throngs of tourists from Ponte Vecchio into the tourist destinations (Uffizi, Duomo, etc.). Similarly, coming out and away from the crowds at night felt even nicer. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, with a couple lively little neighborhood bars, parks, and a "beach" on the shore of the Arno. Being able to walk 10 minutes up to Piazzale Michelangelo was great- in our few days, we went up and saw the sweeping views of the city in the morning, at sunset, and after dark to get the full perspective. It was also nice to pass by the grocery store "Conad" on our way in and out of "downtown" to pick things up (including ridiculously cheap waters and iced tea). The neighborhood of San Niccolo is also charming and we really enjoyed our dinner at Osteria Niccolo (also called Osteria Antica Mescita San Niccolo), which Simona had recommended.

As a host, Simona was exactly what you hope for from HomeAway/VRBO or AirBNB rentals- she was super responsive before and during the stay, great communication, was there to meet us as planned on arrival and to show us around the place, was so thoughtful to provide a few starter groceries (like juice, milk, and a beer!), had put together a little booklet with everything you needed to know about the apartment and neighborhood, and made some great recommendations (restaurant, groceries, etc.).

I hope we have a chance to come back to Florence again, and we would love to stay here again!
