About the property

Beautiful, modern apartment in an old historic building in the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City District. Airy, bright and modern and near the city's main shopping area and artistic heart with it's own allocated secure parking. We hope you will love our apartment as much as we do. The property is an ideal location for short/medium term stays in Glasgow and the parking facilities make it ideal as a stop-over while touring Scotland by car or as a base for exploring our country. Our aim is for you to have a great stay.

The property is well equipped and consists of an entrance hallway providing access to stairway, bathroom and main living area. The main living area is a single open plan space with vaulted ceiling that includes the bedroom on an upper mezzanine level. There is a well equipped kitchen including Nespresso coffee machine. Off the main bedroom is a dressing area and storage.

The property is most suitable for couples, solo travellers or small groups (up to 4). In the case of small groups we can provide additional sleeping facilities/bedding but please be aware that the living area/bedroom is a single space if privacy will be an issue for your group.

If you do decide to book with us we will meet you to give you the keys, familiarise you with the apartment facilities, the surrounding area and provide you with any other information you may need. We are happy to give suggestions for activities and places to visit during your stay in Glasgow.

We love this area. Close to some of the main shopping, entertainment and cultural areas of the city. The Tron Theatre and Glasgow Print Studio are nearby and famous gig venues like the Glasgow Barrowland ballroom are a short walk away. The flat is located on a quiet side street, near to Glasgow Green, one of the city's finest parks and an ideal location for strolling (or running) if you feel like it.

The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the main stations at Glasgow Central and Queen Street. Other train stations at Argyle Street and High Street are nearer, as is the underground station at St. Enochs which provides access to Glasgow's underground system. An extensive

bus network operates throughout the city and is easily accessible from the apartment. Finally Glasgow is a great walking city so if you have time don't forget that the city's West End, vibrant Finnieston area and other locations can all be reached on foot if you have the time and stamina.

Home from Home, convenient location and parking

Cozy and well equipped apartment in a great location for exploring Glasgow and beyond

We stayed in the apartment for a four night, mid week break. We had a warm welcome from David, who kindly checked us in early and showed us round. The apartment is absolutely lovely. It's spacious and airy but also feels cosy. It has everything you might need, including magazines, books and chargers for all types of electronic devices. And the bed is incredibly comfortable! We would recommend taking slippers as there are wood effect floors throughout, which can be a bit slippy.

If you want to make your own breakfasts or cook (we always choose self catering over a hotel so we have the option), the kitchen is really well equipped. David had left us some Scottish treats to try. The Tunnocks wafers and teacakes were delicious but we hope he wasn't offended we passed on the Irn Bru!

We walked up to the Cathedral and Necropolis (a must see) from the apartment in about 25 minutes. The apartment is about a 15 minute walk to Argyle Street (St Enoch subway). We got a few Ubers back from further into the city centre, including Central Station, and paid £3.50-4.50 a trip, day or evening. (I assume Friday evenings and weekends are a bit more expensive.)

There's loads of information in the apartment welcome pack about things to do. Our own personal highlights were Kelvingrove Museum & Gallery, a day trip to Arran (only just over £20 for a combined train and ferry ticket!), the Necropolis, Pollok Country Park walk, Gin71 and Cup Tea Lounge, and Bread Meats Bread (don't be put off if there's a queue). But we will be back because there's so much more we didn't get chance to do this time.

Lovely apartment in a central location with welcoming owners.

Really clean, comfortable and very smart apartment. We loved it and found it the perfect base for our trip. We appreciated the extra touches in a welcome pack and helpful tips and seems that all anyone could possibly need seems to have been thought about. Recommend highly.
