There is a local shop for all your convenience food plus a nearby farm shop selling fruit, veg, cheese, plus freshly caught fish and seafood. In Portscatho there is also an excellent butchers. You certainly don’t need to travel far to find all you need. However, should you fancy a day out, Truro is only 9 miles away via the scenic King Harry Ferry crossing at Philleigh. The busy cathedral town offers a range of high street shops, plus many restaurants, bars and cafes if you fancy a day out discovering the old town and a visit to the beautiful cathedral.
