Dreamy quiet retreat
Bonnie’s home is idyllic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful retreat. It was a dream. Everything was thought of, even the two chairs facing the sunset just waiting for you to enjoy. And the stars? Wow.
This was definitely one of our favorite anniversaries!
Super quaint and secluded
We had a fabulous time. The cottage was delightfully quaint and comfortable. Our favorite part was the animals in close prodomity: beautiful birds, hummingbirds, raccoons and the longhorn cattle. The highlight is, of course, the opportunity to see God’s glorious creation in the starry night sky. We city dwellers miss that. Highly recommended.
Secluded but close enough to attractions, this place is phenomenal! We were fortunate enough to share our morning coffee with a few longhorn cattle grazing through. I don't see how the owner stands to share it, but I am grateful that she does.
A very quiet cottage tucked away in the country. Keep your eyes peeled. Your always bound to see something. Whether it be deer, bulls, cows, longhorns, axis and even porky pines. The cottage is very homey and provides everything you need to relax and feel comfortable. The fridge was even stocked with treats as well. At night it’s completly dark so make sure your outside to see the stars overhead. The only thing you’ll have on your mind when leaving, is when can I come back to this little cottage.
The down side
Before booking I read every review & agree with everything they said however there a a few things that we didn't like.
1) Bathroom - the toilet & shower are raised about 6" off the ground. Therefore you when in the toilet I can't reach the ground and I'm 5'8". Getting out of the shower was dangerous & long ways down. The bathtub is completely surrounded by a shower curtain on both sides so it is constantly touching you (gross).
2) Stairs- I called them the death trap. They are different highs and the bottom 3 have no handrail. Also no baluster only a handrail, so a little scary.
3) Kitchen - if you are going to cook bring your own spices. We found salt, season salt, lemon pepper & tenderize. A few cooking utensils are provided.
4) NO Wi-Fi & very little mobile signal
Nature and tranquility
This charming cabin is perfect for a relaxing, tranquil, back-to-nature getaway. If you want to drink your morning coffee or sip your evening wine while communing with nature, this is the perfect spot. The interior is comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and the host provides welcoming touches such as baked cookies, breakfast items and bottled water and soda. The loft bedroom is comfy, complete with quilts, fluffy pillows, books to read and huge windows to view the starts or nature. I will definitely return.
