Excellent location for exploring Chester, Chester Zoo and nearby attractions

The bright & modern 2 bedroom semi detached holiday home with private driveway is located in Hoole,on the edge of Chester City Centre, it has been furnished with holidaymakers/corporate business travellers in mind & has everything you need for the perfect stay.The house is our holiday home, we find it is perfectly placed for visiting Chester, Chester Zoo, Chester racecourse & many other local attractions, exploring Wales & the Cheshire countryside is easy as it has great road/rail & public transport links.

Our two bedroom holiday home offers ideal accommodation for couples or familes, it is located in a quiet cul de sac away from traffic noise. There is a master bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and fitted wardrobes, the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and fitted wardrobes (with full length mirror), modern bathroom with shower over bath, heated towel rail and storage cabinet. The open plan living space is well equipped with tv/dvd player, free Wifi, Blue tooth hi-fi system, a selection of books and dvd's, two comfortable leather settees and dining table with 4 chairs. When you may not wish to dine in one of the many restaurants Chester has to offer the kitchen is well equipped for all your self catering needs and has a table and four chairs and overlooks the enclosed rear garden.

There is a small front garden and a landscaped enclosed garden (with lockable gate) to the rear of the house where you will find a table and four chairs for al fresco dining.

There is a private driveway for parking at the house, Chester City Centre is just a short drive away, you can easily walk into chester in approximately 15/20 minutes, buses run regularly from a bus stop nearby, the train station is approximately a 15 minute walk away. I can recommend a very good taxi service should you be arriving from Liverpool or Manchester airport.

The house is located in Hoole, locally known as 'NottingHoole' is the perfect place to stay for exploring the historic city of Chester, not only does it benefit from being close to Chester City Centre but Hoole is also a bustling and vibrant suburban village, filled with independent shops (local butchers, fishmongers etc), bars & restaurants, winning awards in the Great British High Street Competiton. A few of our favourite places to go to in Hoole on an evening are The Lodge, The Faulkner, The Sticky Walnut, The Suburbs.

Nearby is a lovely park which offers children play facilities, bowling greens, tennis courts.

We had a fabulous stay in Chester and loved the house and area, very quiet but close to the City Centre, it was very well equipped and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay

What a treat it was to stay in this lovely house. Chester is such a beautiful City with so many things to do and see. Chester Zoo was great , we really needed more than a day to see everything. We arrived at the house

early but this was not a problem and went straight in, we received excellent communication from the owner.

On entering the house there was a nice porch where you could leave all your outdoor things, and into the lounge with two lovely leather settees . The rest of the house was as well furnished as the lounge and the decoration was so well done everywhere, attention to every detail had been thought of and we were short of nothing. The beds were very comfy and we had good nights sleep.

The area is very quiet and peaceful, we dined out in Hoole and Chester , there are so many bars, restaurants to choose from, we would definitely recommend The Lodge, The Faulkner and Sergio's for something to eat. We had a meal in one night and the kitchen had all that we needed, very well equipped

A nice walk is along the canal bank and from near the house you can get straight into Chester, we did get a bus back one day which was very easy to use with the bonus being the bus stop was just a two minute walk from the house.

It was lovely to sit in the garden at the back of the house and eat breakfast or even just for morning coffee

Before I forget the storage everywhere in the house was excellent particularly the bathroom, if you stay in a hotel you are lucky to get a shelf here you get a whole cupboard!! We are in our mid seventies and the stairs were no problem, in fact they were a novelty as was the bath as we live in a bungalow with a walk in shower!!

We will definitely be staying here again as nowhere else could beat it. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Clean property, had everthing we needed for a short break

Nice property, could do with decent size towels and clean teatowels. The property was about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Chester along the canal.

Perfect Stay

It was our first time we booked a private home on the internet so wasn't sure what to expect. The house was perfect- it felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed, it was clean and comfortable, especially the beds, we all slept very well. Deborah was very easy to deal with throughout the booking process, even contacting us when we first arrived to ensure all was ok, which it was. It was very well located for everything we needed, eating out, shops, visiting Chester Zoo etc. Would recommend to family and friends.

Difficult for older people to climb in and out of the shower.

Bathroom floor was very noisy, enough to wake any sleepers.

Communication was difficult.

It took 2 hours to get then key.

No dish towels

Owner's Response: I am sorry you described your stay as 'mediocre', this has come as a surprise as we stayed in the house a few days before your arrival and had a lovely few days. We will look into the bathroom floor, I am sorry you had trouble using the shower (shower over bath as described on the website and shown in the photos), the bath is of uk standard size and we have had many elderly guests stay at the house without a problem. The management team have asked me to pass on their apologies regarding the key mishap and have assured me this would not happen again. It was an oversight not leaving the tea towels, had you contacted either the team or myself this could have been dealt with. I pride myself on my quick response and communication having been involved in holiday rentals for 10+ years I understand how important it is to guests. >
