Our traditional 3 double bedroom apartment is perfectly located on a beautiful leafy quiet street, just minutes walk to byers road with its shops, bars, restaurants and transport links to the city centre and beyond.

The property is a perfect base for family and friends within easy walking distance to botanic gardens, kelvingrove park, glasgow uni and museums.


The apartment is on the 2nd floor (no lift) of a stunning converted townhouse and is a very large, modern and clean space.

It comprises a large sitting room with comfy sofas & chairs and a large dining table with seating for 6. There are 3 double bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a shower over the bath. We are happy to provide a guest zed bed to sleep an additional person.

All linen and towels are provided.

The apartment is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, integrated fridge-freezer, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, a large TV with freeview, dvd player, hairdryer, iron and iron board. We provide crockery, cutlery & glassware for 8 and we also have basic provisions like tea, coffee, sugar, salt, etc.

There is gas central heating throughout and constant hot water.

We are happy to provide a travel cot, linen & high chair on request. There is also a good collection of games & toys for you & the wee ones to use and enjoy.

The apartment was our family home for many years and we hope you will feel equally at home as soon as you arrive.


You have access to the entire apartment during your stay.

We no longer live in the apartment so all wardrobes, drawers, etc., are empty.


We live just 20 mins from the aprtment and are delighted to greet you and show you around on arrival. When we are not available my friendly aunt lives just around the corner and she'll meet you instead.

You can contact us at any time if you need us, but if not we will leave you to enjoy your stay without interruption.


The apartment really does have the best of both worlds! In the heart of Glasgow's west end with all its hustle & bustle and wonderful array of restaurants and bars...but surrounded by trees, rivers and beautiful parks.


The apartment is on a quiet street but within a 5 minute walk to some of the best eating places in Glasgow. The Oran Mor, the bothy, North Star Cafe, Ubiquitous Chip, and so on.......Ashton Lane, is our absolute favourite!!! A narrow cobbled street under strings of fairy lights, offering a wide selection of food and drinks to suit all. Most places are family friendly!

There are plenty of supermarkets in the area too; waitrose and M&S foods being the closest...just a few short mins walk away.


The west end of Glasgow is a fantastic place to explore with a wide range of activities for all ages. Access to the stunning river walk can be gained very close to the apartment. This walk passes the botanic gardens, Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Park/Museum. Kelvingrove park now has three children’s play areas as well as a huge skate park...not to be missed by our little guests. Kelvingrove Museum is a stunning place to visit - for all the family as is the truly wonderful Transport Museum with its historic Tall Ship. All free entry!


Glasgow city centre has excellent shopping, an endless supply of pubs and restaurants, two train stations and Buchannan Bus station. The Glasgow Hydro and the SECC is a 40-minute walk or quick taxi ride away. Stunning Loch Lomond is only a 30-minute drive away. The Historic cities of Stirling and Edinburgh can be reached in 45 minutes and 1 hour respectively. The airport is a short 20-minute drive away and can also be accessed by public transport.


You can park outside the apartment however from March 10 2017 the parking outside the apartment will be metered/paid for. Visitor Permits can be purchased from me at £5 per day.

For those without a car, Hillhead Underground station is a short 5 min walk away, which takes you to the city centre in 7-8mins.

There is a mainline train station 15 - 20 minutes walk away which gives you direct access to Loch Lomond.

The city centre is 10 mins away by cab and Uber taxis are usually available within 5 mins.. so get that app on your phone :)

The Glasgow bike rentals can be found on Queen Margaret Drive beside Botanic Gardens and access to cycle paths are throughout the city .


If you are travelling with a baby / toddler, etc., please just let me know and we'll provide travel cot, linen, highchair, etc.

From March 10 2017 The parking outside the apartment will be metered/paid for. Visitor Permits can be purchased from me at £5 per day.

We have listed check in from 3pm and the latest arrival time is 11pm. Check out is at 11am however we will, wherever possible, accommodate these times around you and your travel plans.

Stunning apartment - perfect host

Louisa is a very responsive, helpful and reliable host. The place was set up nicely (Louisa’s auntie even put some essentials in the fridge) and clean. The check in went smoothly. The place is simply is big, well arranged and equipped with everything you need. The view from one the rooms facing university is simply breathtaking. Consequently, we had a great time at Louisa’s place.
