About Timeri Tolnay
We are a family of three who love to travel, especially to places that are even more beautiful and relaxing than our home town of Golden, Colorado.
Timeri Tolnay purchased this House in 2005
Why Timeri Tolnay chose Loreto
Loreto Bay is a unique development in Mexico that retains that charm or traditional Mexico, all the natural beauty of the Baja, with some creature comforts enjoyed throughout North America including a pacific-northwest style coffee shop and California style wine bar.
What makes this House unique
Being situated adjacent to a community pool, and steps away from the property manager is super convenient.

Truly a Joy!
The house was very comfortable; really grateful for the air conditioning. We appreciated Tamari's pdf which explained in detail everything about the rental, Loreto and anything we needed to know. We were able to take our 7 week puppy, Moya who loved the house. Definitely enjoyed the pool, a little on the warm side but a haven to have in 100 degree weather. We had some issues with the refrigerator but the manager's were very helpful and were able to get it fixed. The only thing lacking was cleaning supplies: broom, mop, and such things to clean the house. The washer and dryer worked great too. Enjoyed our time immensely. We were able to snorkel and kayak all over Loreto Bay. Truly a memorable time! Thank you!
Great location with attentive owner
A few days before arrival we were notified the home was accidentally overbooked. These things happen, no problem. The owner arranged 2 hotel rooms at the hotel next door. I appreciate this and it gave us a taste of both accommodation offerings in Nopolo. The owner also arranged for the hotel golf cart to transport us and our luggage to the villa. t was perfect, exactly what we needed - except for three specific things - 1) there was a slight smell upon entry (like the garbage had just been taken out moments before) 2) the viewing tower had a bee nest 3) would have been nice to have the satellite TV set up (the villa has it but no one can figure out how to set it up). Overall, we look forward to returning to Nopolo.
Thank you for this feedback, Lisa, and for your flexibility with your first night's lodging. I have spoken to my property manager, and they have removed the bee's nest. You are the second guest in three years to request television service. The first one actually brought the TV to the home about a year ago and left it for us. Thanks to your feedback, I am looking into services; I appreciate you letting me know that this would be of value.
Amazing stay over Thanksgiving!
My family and I spent Thanksgiving at the home - there was plenty of room for 5 adults! The trundle bed in one of the guest bedrooms was great for my son. There were plenty of beach and shower towels to use. There was also a small ice chest to use to take to the pool or beach. I have stayed at 3 homes in Loreto bay - this home by far had the nicest furnishings! Highly recommend this home.
Beautiful property, October 2016
What a gem. This place was beautiful. The only downfall is it was a ways from down town. If your looking for a quiet relaxing place this is it. It is located at the far end of Loreto bay property, but we rented a golf cart for our stay which was nice to explore the property and get around. Highly recommend this if your looking for quiet relaxing property.
Good location confy home.
Beyond our expectations
It is amazing! There were 7 (4 adults and 3 teens) of us staying at the home for 7 nights and we never felt crowded. It is very spacious. The inner courtyard that is open air was so lovely. The gardens within were immaculately maintained, even during our stay. Some flowers and leaves fell from some of the plants (which honestly I didn't mind at all), but one day there was a gardener in there cleaning it all up making it pristine again! The rooms were all well chilled by the air conditioners. The beds were super comfy, and there were plenty of towels (both bath and beach) for us to use. My daughter stayed up in the open air bedroom on the third floor every night and called it her "jungle canopy." The kitchen had everything we needed for our cooking needs. Even the dishes are traditional Mexican pottery and are beautiful. The overall decor of the home is in Mexican style and done very tastefully with interesting lamps and artwork adding some spunk to every room.
There was a leak under the kitchen sink and one of the showers had very low pressure. We called and let the property manager know and someone was there to fix both issues within the hour. So, that's not really a negative in my book either. The door is a combination lock so you don't have to worry about not losing the key when you're at the beach.
It is the most quaint, beautiful, safe neighborhood you can imagine. There are friendly security guards on bicycles roaming about 24 hours a day. They are also a great help in recommending a restaurant or helping you find the lap pool. The regular pool is super close to the house. You could toss a stone into it from the second floor of the home. The pool is very nice. There is still building going on in the neighborhood. The section nearest the resort is all finished, but the area of this rental home still have some homes and businesses being built. The house directly across from ours was being worked on while we were there. They never started construction before 9am and they were usually gone around 3pm. I think I heard a hammer for about 5 minutes the whole time we were there. It was not distracting to your stay at all.
We were there during the slow season, so many of the businesses were closed for the season. But this meant that we pretty much had the run of the entire neighborhood. You can walk to the nearby resort for snorkeling and other beach activities.
We would 100% stay there again. We actually did not want to leave!
