Quiet historic base in city centre
A spacious but dark apartment on three levels. Very much in need of considerable tlc e.g broken kitchen appliances, non-draining shower. Alarming electrics throughout. Cheerful and welcoming owner, but they need to get things fixed.
It was okay!
The owner of the place is a super nice sweet lady who is very helpful and accommodating. The place is very clean but very old. The place is not only rustic, it is not functioning properly. The dishwasher and oven were not working. We stayed there 2 nights and both nights the electricity went off which also lead us to not having hot water or heat. By the time we figured out how to fix it and communicated with the owner, it was already afternoon of the next day. We were cold at night and sitting in the dark. If you don’t mind any of the things shared and don’t care about the kitchen stuff not working you are fine to stay at this place. I would not recommend to take your kids there though. I also did not enjoy figuring out the electricity stuff that obviously was time consuming.
l am very sorry for problema with light and l apolgise to you. l will try all the thigns go better. Thank you, niki
Quaint, clean, central, and very spacious!
I was in Padova this past week with a colleague and 4 of our graduate students to attend a conference. The apartment is very large and on 3 floors with a sofa bed and bathroom on the ground floor, a kitchen downstairs with another bathroom, and other two rooms with another bathroom on the top floor, of which one of the rooms is huge. The photos don't give this place any justice; it is fairly old and quaint, but there is nothing wrong with it. It was perfectly clean, with plenty of towels for everyone. There is also wireless which can be accessed from the ground floor. The location is fantastic: roughly 15 minutes walk from the train station, 10 or so from Cappella Scrovegni; very central and conveniently located to access the main attractions. I saw a review that talked about smoke smell on the sofa; I personally did not find that to be the case. Being summer/fall, there are still mosquitoes in the city and the land lady had put one of those tablets that help keeping the mosquitoes off. I'm guessing the smell referred to in the review was that. The place is rustic, but it's an old family home and there are even frescoes on the walls of the large bedroom upstairs. Mrs. San Bonifacio was extremely kind and happy to help us out. I speak Italian, but she spoke very good English with everyone else. If you are ok with rustic but clean and you are coming with a large group, this is the place. It would be huge for two people unless you like having a lot of space. Strongly recommended!
Gentile Professoressa la ringrazio per il suo giudizio che mi rende ancora piu' felice in quanto proviene da persona colta e competente in materia e anche molto gentile.
The property is in a great location but the apt is pretty old
The property is right in the heart of the center and within walking distance to everywhere. However the place itself is pretty old. The couches smell like old smoke and the overall apartment is very old.
Thank you and l try to make better.
The apartment is located in the center of Padua, close to the squares, museums, the giotto chapel, and the train station
