David’s farm – Wales – Gwarmacwydd

A country estate and organic farm of over 450 acres set in the vale of the river Taf.

Deep in the rolling hills and valleys of South West Wales, yet easy to get to as almost the whole journey from major cities is by motorway or dual carriageway – the A40 trunk road is 3 miles, and the dual carriage way connection to the M4, 8 miles

Every one of our holiday cottages has its own unique features, character and layout.

Each cottage has been lovingly converted from traditional farm buildings, parts of which are over 200 years old. Wherever possible original detail and stonework has been retained, both inside and out, in order to give each cottage its own personality and style.

All our holiday cottages are equipped with the modern comforts of home.

Within the estate boundaries you can quietly explore and enjoy the beauty of the South West Wales countryside.

• Amble for miles along the banks of the river Taf, or pause to fish for salmon or trout.

• Explore the many paths that lead among grassy meadows.

• Picnic among wooded glades.

• Walk along our tranquil nature trail - the old Whitland to Cardigan railway, now long disused.

• Walk through over 50 acres of ancient oak and ash woodlands.

• Children's can enjoy the adventure play area, with swings, slide, Wooden Fort, and a trampoline in summer

• A unique Tractor Driving experience can be arranged

• Farm tours and safaris are also available.

Experience a real working farm in action.

From calving to ploughing, seed sowing to harvest, there is always something going on.

Visit us at different times of the year to experience every season. Enjoy picnics in the gardens and fields or late evening barbeques in summer, there iare the newly sprouted flowers and newborn calves in spring, the aroma of freshly cut hay or array of different coloured leaves in autumn and finally the fresh crisp winter mornings. Come for a week or a short break, we are open all year round.
