About lisa rutter
I live in Lichfield in Staffordshire, and grew up in Sutton Coldfield. I am a haidresser by profession and own a small Hairdressing Salon wich is located in Walmley,Sutton Coldfield. I have two children a boy and a girl, who have spent many holidays in St Ives, crabbing in the rock-pools and eating ice-creams. My love for St Ives has only increased as ive got older as to apprecite what a beautiful place it is,the light and the way the sea joins the sky, the changing colours of the sky and the changes in the sea each different season. I have visited St Ives so many times throughout different months of the year. The summer is lovely with the warm weather sitting outside The Sloop having a drink and chatting to holiday makers. The Spring with the heady spring air and the glistening of the sea.The Autumn,October is hazy and time for the dogs on the beach enjoying themselves.November is time to wrap up warm and walk the coastal path, then head to any of the pubs to eat before going back to the cottage to snuggle up beside the logburner. And then Christmas and New Year which is amazing.

Why lisa rutter chose St Ives
I fell in love with the cottage becuse it was so pretty and uniquecottage has a lovely 3 tiered garden with abundance if flowers and shrubs and because the garden is southernly facing it is great to sit in the sun and have a barbaque. The cottage is set on an off the road terrace along with another seven cottages, some painted lovely colours with beautiful gardens, the owners of the other cottages live there permantly and are really friendly and kind.
What makes this Cottage unique
Where the cottage is situated is just a few minutes walk out of the town centre which means it is quite and peaceful away from all the crowds, yet only minutes away to the hustle and bustle. Again just a few minutes from Porthmeor Surfing Beach and the lovely Porthmeor Beach Cafe Bar. A few minutes th the Cinema and Kidz r us shows and the cobbled streets of st ives town with the shops restaurants and bars.

Lovely little cottage, great location
A very pretty little cottage in an excellent location (only about 7/8 minutes' walk from the town and beaches). Nice welcome package on arrival, and the cottage is well kept and full of character! A bit of a tight squeeze for a family of four with two children under five, but we had a lovely stay. Lisa is a very attentive owner, and made us feel very confident that had there been any problems, they would have been solved quickly. Would recommend 100%.
Thankyou David for such a lovely review and glad you had a lovely stay.
A lovely quaint and quirky cottage
We have just spent Easter at the cottage which was small but very cosy and comfortable and ideal for a couple. It was decorated inside with some lovely touches and was fully equipped with everything we could need. It is ideally situated about 5 minutes from the harbour with a view of the sea from the bedroom. We would certainly recommend . Lisa also very kindly left us a welcome pack with bread, eggs, butter and milk which was very much appreciated.
Great stay in a delightful cottage, thank you Lisa
We stayed in this well located, delightful fisherman’s cottage for a long weekend. Ideal for walking into the town centre and coastal walks. Our first visit to St Ives and we weren’t disappointed. Lots of coffee places and pubs/restaurants with good food. Overall a very enjoyable time.
Cute cottage :)
I visited this property with my mother for her 70th birthday. We stayed for a long weekend in November. Lisa was so very helpful, arranging parking for us and texting to make sure all was in order :) The cottage has lots of character and has EVERYTHING you could ever need!! More kitchen utensils than I have at home and lovely little trinkets all over :) Close proximity to the beach / shops too. The single bed in the second bedroom is rather uncomfortable but I slept in the smaller kids bed so that was fine. All in all a fantastic stay and we will definitely be returning! xx
Really pretty cottage with everything you could want for your holiday.
St ives was beautiful and the cottage really comfortable and on a lovely sunny Terrace with a garden to sit out in on an evening and have a barbecue
