Stunning cottage in a superb location!
Beautiful cottage in ideal location, very tastefully decorated, and well maintained with everything provided for a great stay. Really well and thoughtfully provisioned too! A lovely ‘make yourselves at home feel’ from the moment in step over the threshold! We certainly didn’t want to leave when our three day stay was up, and wished we had booked for longer. Any enquiries we made prior to our stay, was also dealt with quickly and as friendly as you could ask for, and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage to anyone that fancies a great place to stay; to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. Great pub,(with great food) just a very short walk away: also made it very attractive location for us too! Love, love, loved it!!
We loved this property.
The cottage, was clean, comfortable and i have nothing bad to say about it. It suited us perfectly.
The cottage was easy to get to, close to great walks, a good pub and a fantastic restaurant.
The beds were also very comfortable which is always a good indication of a quality.
A Wonderful Stay
We all had a brilliant time staying at this delightful cottage. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. The arrival 'goodies' were much appreciated. We lit both the fires each day (took our own wood) which ensured the cottage was warm and cosy bearing in mind it was extremely cold outside. Cottage was a great base for discovering area and we used the walking guides for 3 lovely walks, one of which was from the doorstep. We ate in the local pub one evening and appreciated the 20% off voucher provided for us. Will definitely wish to return and highly recommend. Host was delightful and easy to correspond with.
Glad you were able to make the most of your stay ,even with the bitter cold weather . There is nothing like sitting in front of a log burner when it is freezing outside .If you get chance to return ,when warmer and longer evenings .Would certainly recommend the circular walk down Biggin Dale ,calling at the Waterloo on return for refreshment.
Perfect winter retreat
The house was perfect: warm and cosy with a wood burner in two rooms. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped with everything you might need. There was a lovely welcome basket on arrival, which included a cake and a bottle of wine. The garden was very well tended with table and chairs front and back. We couldn't have been made to feel more at home. There were plenty of maps and brochures for walking and sight seeing and it was nice being able to go walking from the house.
Thank you. ,glad Your found Rowan Tree Cottage a great winter retreat .We aim to make our guests feel relax and try to provide as much information as possible to take the stress out of thinking ,where can we go today !
Lovely cottage, with everything we could need and more!
Such a beautiful cottage! Cosy but not small. Plenty of room and well stocked (kitchen essentials, cleaning products, lovely towels and bedding etc.) A gorgeous hamper with wine, biscuits and cake upon arrival - and even biscuits for the dog! We will certainly be back and would gladly recommend to friends and family. Thank you Jane! :)
Thank you ,glad you enjoyed your stay .Shame the weather wasn't the best. Hopefully when you return the sun will be out and Buddy might get chance to lounge around on the grass without getting wet.
Everything we needed, and more!
We have just enjoyed a short break in this lovely cottage, ideally situated to explore the beautiful Peak District. Thank you, Jane, for all your help before our arrival and the amazing attention to detail. The welcome hamper and treats for humans and dog were lovely! We will definitely be recommending the cottage to our friends, and hope to visit again one day.
