2 bedrooms upstairs, bathroom and open plan lounge and kithen area. Decking area
I am enjoying my retirement in Truro and have lots of interests keeping me busy. I am creative and arty. My daughter and grandchildren live nearby and I help out whenever needed. My daughter also helps me manage Riversmeet. I fell in love with Riversmeet when I first looked around it. It's a quaint cottage but it still feels airy and spacious. The modern tiled, open plan design downstairs with wood burner helps this feeling. Upstairs is also newly decorated and carpeted.
Elaine purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Elaine chose Saint Clement
The sleepy village of Malpas belies an undercurrent of activity and is a popular dwelling for locals. There is a lovely family pub, community centre, ferry and a strong, resident spirit where many village activities are organised. There is a beautiful creek side view which all the residents can benefit from as their properties all face the river. There is no through road which significantly reduces the traffic in Malpas and a delightful countryside walk to the nearby village of St Clements.
What makes this Cottage unique
The close proximity to the family, local pub means cooking is not a necessity when on holiday. There is a ferry outside Riversmeet which takes you to Falmouth and St Mawes for the National Maritime museum, 'Ships and Castle' swimming pool and gym, castles, fish and chips, many lovely pubs, beaches and shops. The lovely Boscawen park with tennis courts, new play area, football pitches, cricket club, duck pond, restaurant is half a mile away. Truro city is a 2 minute car journey or bus ride away with plenty of shops and restaurants to try out. The cinema, theatre, museum, bowling alley can all be found there.

Lovely place enjoyed every minute thank you xx
Lovely cottage and fantastic views, loved every minute xx
Very comfortable cottage in a beautiful location
Enjoyed a lovely weekend in this cosy cottage, overlooking the river with lovely views. Excellent location for touring this part of Cornwall. The Heron just a few yards away provides delicious food throughout the day, thoroughly recommend. The only minor problem was that the cottage was very cold on arrival & there were no matches to use for the wood burner & the electric heater struggles to provide enough warmth downstairs, maybe some cosy blankets could help with this.
Would definitely look to stay here again in the future.
This cottage is in such a beautiful location right on the river edge. If your looking for peace and quite, this is the place. Lovely pub just up the road serving delicious food.
Great location with lovely views
A very nicely presented and atmospheric cottage. Beautiful views from main bedroom and from terrace. Small terrace with bench in front of cottage, garden on several steep levels, top of which is a new decked terrace with table and chairs. We used this for outdoor cooking but running in and out of the kitchen is not an option, so if you do it you need to be prepared carrying stuff out. There are a few plastic buckets which help save a few trips. We were a fit family of 4, youngest age 12. The owner allows pets and we booked with this in mind. However as a last minute decision we left the dog at home and were happy for it. We could not have let the dog out into the garden as there is a walkway with open access to the road in front at each end. Ours is a larger energetic dog. A small or old animal on lead maybe just fine. A nice touch is the welcome scones, jam, tea, coffee, eggs and milk, thank you very much. Great walks on the doorstep and 30 minutes from just about anywhere in South Cornwall. Also liked flexibility of booking Sunday to Sunday.
This was a 2 story unit and not a cottage as advertised
We were initially disappointed that this was not a single story cottage instead it was a 2 story unit within a Terranced apartment block with very limited car spaces. This add that was supplied was very misleading.
In saying that the property was well appointed in a great location.
Elaine kindly provided a hair dryer which was not included. We are three mature travellers planing day trips and coastal walks and to have a washing machine was great. However the clothes lines up the back was overgrown and there were no pegs, which we bought. The inside clothes aired needed instructions or was broken.
We did enjoy Malpas and the location was great and quiet. Lovely views on the top terrace. The 40 minute walk into town was very pleasant.
I’m sorry you were initially disappointed with the cottage that was not single storey. It was not advertised as a bungalow. The cottage is one of a terrace of dwellings built in the 1800’s. Thank you for the pegs and we will leave instructions for future guests on how to use the indoor airer. I’m glad you agree with advert that the location is great and quiet with lovely views.
Perfect get away
Amazing location and a really comfortable house. Very clean and equipped with every thing you would need .The Heron, the pub three doors down, serves fabulous food. Would recommend and hope to return
The Eden Project and Heligan Gardens are in St Austell, 30 minute drive. The beautiful National Trust Trelissick gardens are a 15minute drive. The ferry to Falmouth and St Mawes departs in front of the property. Obviously there are many beautiful beaches on the North Coast and South Coast.
