About the property

Fabulous Coach House in beautiful countryside

LUXURY ACCOMMODATION. Beautiful refurbished ONE Bedroom coach house which forms part of the Old Rectory. Two bedrooms available on request . The original house dates back to 1700's and wings added in the early and late 1800's.

The Old Rectory is situated on a quiet lane in the picturesque hamlet of Coddington surrounded by countryside.

The Coach House has been designed creating an open plan spacious living area including a new oak framed conservatory, a bespoke kitchen with granite work tops. We have retained some original features in particular a cast iron spiral staircase leading to a romantic double bedroom with a deluxe 5ft bed. There is an option to book one bedroom ensuite or two bedrooms both ensuite.

Coddington is located in Eastern Herefordshire lying below the Malvern hills 5.5km north of Ledbury

“A beautiful, rural retreat”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2017

Myself, my husband, my mum and our dog enjoyed a wonderful four night stay here at Christmas. Despite seeing the pictures and reviews beforehand, the Coach House still surpassed my expectations - it really is absolutely stunning, in its entirety. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into creating a luxurious space with the highest quality fixtures and fittings. The owners, Chris and Julie were delightful - incredibly welcoming and always on hand but never intrusive. They had gone to the extra effort of decorating the property with some beautiful Christmas decorations inkeeping with the style of the Coach House which created a charming, festive feel. They had put together a gorgeous hamper complete with handmade crackers and treats for the dog and put a bottle of wine from the local vineyard in the fridge in readiness for our arrival! We enjoyed a beautiful walk around Eastnor Deer Park on Christmas Day (a 10 minute drive away) and up Worcestershire Beacon on Boxing Day, also 10 minutes away by car. An idyllic retreat and the perfect place for some rest and relaxation. We shared a very special Christmas together and created memories that we shall never forget. We cannot recommend it highly enough and we shall certainly be returning. Thank you Chris and Julie!

About The Owner

We moved to Coddington 4 years ago from Guildford in Surrey. A completely different lifestyle from the hussle and bussle of Guildford.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2012

Why The Owner chose Malvern

We love living in the hamlet of Coddington for the peace and beautiful countryside. Yet only 10 minutes from the beautiful market town of Ledbury with plenty of restaurants, county pubs and individual local shops.

Large towns/cities of Hereford,Worcester and Gloucester are all local and of course upmarket Cheltenham.

What makes this cottage unique

Very peaceful

Such a tranquil setting, great little find!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 8 and we stayed for 3 nights. I can honestly say we had the best time. It is such a relaxing setting, the house has everything you could want and whilst we wanted to explore the area we also loved coming home to chill out. Luxury inside, fab garden, excellent communication from the owners and Buster the dog deserves a mention (or a woof!). Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

FANTASTIC

  • 5 of 5

I booked this for my husband's birthday treat over Easter. What a fantastic place! The house is set in a beautiful village overlooking an idylic church. The accommodation was spotless and stunning with the highest quality in fixtures and fittings. Chris showed us around on our arrival. He was very welcoming and informative on places to see and go. Very dog friendly and our dog Milly met Buster, the owners dog, and Wilf, next door. He used to call for her daily for their run around the garden and she misses him already, so she had a brilliant time too! Lovely welcome pack on our arrival, including mini Lindt bunny easter eggs and doggie biscuits too! It's the little things that count and attention to detail that made this a 5 star accommodation in my eyes. We would definitely recommend this property and we would definitely go back. Thank you Chris, Jules, Buster and Wilf for a wonderful break.

Faultless,we absolutely loved The Coach House, would recommend to anyone, love to return!

  • 5 of 5

What a find! We loved staying at The Coach House,it has been so comfortably & tastefully restored, with every detail thought of! The lounge & kitchen areas are bright & airy, with underfloor heating & log fire making cold winter nights very cosy!

The bedroom is so spacious, the double bed being so comfortable,a good nights sleep is guaranteed,as there is no traffic noise.

We stayed for four nights in early March 2018 when there was really heavy snow in the area,so couldn't see as much as we'd planned,so will definitely return in better weather.

Julie & Chris's hospitality was above & beyond!

The Coach House is a real gem,we think the best self catering accommodation we've stayed in & would thoroughly recommend to anyone who requires a totally relaxing & peaceful break,in a truly stunning location!

Thank you Julie & Chris for such a memorable few days, look forward to our next visit!

A lovely comfortable and welcoming stay.

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a lovely few days at The Coach House. Chris gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and showed us around the property. It was first class accommodation with all mod cons and the most comfortable bed and bed linen. We had the best few nights sleep we’ve had for a long time. We stayed during a very cold spell and we looked forward to returning each afternoon to the warmth of the underfloor heating and cosy log burner. Our dog loved meeting Julie and had fun playing with little Buster. We would highly recommend staying here and in the peaceful surroundings of Coddington, with no traffic noise to be heard at all, just birds singing. Thank you Julie and Chris for a lovely stay.

A beautiful setting!

  • 5 of 5

We were welcomed into Chris and Julie’s holiday home. Set in beautiful gardens and whilst next door to their own home, felt very private.

Decorated to a very high standard and very clean and tidy. A great place to base yourself for excursions around the area.

We would definitely return.
