About Stella MacIntyre
We lived in this lovely cottage for 20 years until sadly our family outgrew it and we had to move. We now live close by in North Ballachulish on our family croft.
Stella MacIntyre purchased this Cottage in 1991
Why Stella MacIntyre chose Glencoe
Our children grew up in this cottage, it has a lovely homely feel. The village is very peaceful and yet a variety of activities are available close by.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage has an attractive traditional appearance, with a private mature garden at the back.

A fantastic base to explore the area lots to do and see
Our cottage was fantastic as soon as we arrived Stella made us so welcome. The cottage was first rate everything we needed for our stay was available in the cottage a home from home. The shop across the road sells everything you need if you run out and the local pubs also do good food and a good selections of real ale. All in all it's a first rate holiday cottage to stay in and we will return to this beautiful spot in Glencoe
Had a great stay for three nights with my young family. The cottage was perfect size and well positioned in the village with a small supermarket about 50m away. Nice walking trails in the other direction about 200m away. Plenty to do in the area if you like scenic landscapes and walking!
Lovely warm cosy cottage
Lovely cottage plenty of hot water heating is great would love to stay again
We chose this as it was in an idyllic location. If you looking for peace and quiet, then this is it !
The cottage has all the normal things you would want and in a rustic / in line with the period kind of way.
Lots of things to do, cable car at the Nevis Range, Oban across to Mull, which we`ve done before, 2 minute ferry crossing at Corran across Loch Linnhe to for an alternative route to Arisaig, which is pure heaven, then onto Mallaig, which was great. There is a new eatery place at this crossing point too, which is first class.
The steam train from Fort William to Mallaig was on our wish list, but needs plenty of notice to book this up and we didnt make it.
Handy little shop opposite for odds and ends, then a larger Coop 5 minutes away.
Glencoe Village is a 100% fabulous location to base yourself at, Fort William is 15 miles away, the Nevis Range is a further 6 miles. The Glencoe cable car is 15 miles south on A82.
You will not be disappointed.
Lovely property could do with a little bit of updating especially the cooker and maybe a bit of a fresh paint.
Lovely stay in a really well furnished and located cottage
We had a perfect stay in Glencoe thanks to Stella's perfect cottage in the center of the village. It rained a lot but the cottage has it all to occupy the little ones when obliged to stay inside! And the surroundings benefit from beautiful landscapes and walks easy to access from the cottage. Definitely a gem in the region!
Glencoe village is the perfect base to explore Scotland's most famous glen. The Glencoe Folk Museum is only 2 minutes walk from the cottage and provides a unique insight into the history of the area. The glen itself offers a wide variety of stunning hill walks and hikes for all abilities. The coastal town of Oban is a scenic 40 minute drive, from where ferry connections to the islands are available. The Highland capital Inverness is only a 2 hour drive along the banks of Loch Ness.
