The tiny hamlet of Crossaig lies 30 minutes drive from the small fishing village of Tarbert close to Skipness villageS, famous for its Seafood Cabin. Carradale is 30 minutes drive from North cottage. Both Tarbet and Carradale offer a varied selection of eating places, all serving locally sourced produce and sea food. Both villages have family friendly pubs, a post office, petrol station and a general store. Further south along the peninusula from Carradale is the town of Campbelltown (16 miles) with a wider range of amenities including a museum, heritage centre, cinema and swimming pool/leisure centre.
