Barn in Ullock, Nr. Cockermouth, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Peaceful Location With Amazing Views

This converted barn is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, with fabulous views to both the front and rear of the property. It is within a 5 minutes drive of the Lake District national park. Cockermouth is a 10 min drive away where you will find a Sainsburys supermarket and other local shops and amenities. The family owned barn has been recently re-furnished and has a warm welcoming feel. We will accept up to 2 well behaved dogs. (we are unfortunately unable to provide Wi-fi due to lack of available equipment from BT)

The Stevenson family have owned this barn for 14 years. We previously used it as a family get away, now we want to share it with others. It has recently been re-furbished with a warm and welcoming feel.

Notes on accommodation: Check in from 4pm, Check out by 11am Non- smoking. Hilltop Barn has been furnished to a high standard with the holiday makers needs in mind. A car would be a essential. Nearest supermarket is in Cockermouth approx. 10 min drive away. Outside: Outside is a large garden overlooking the Solway Firth. Outdoor table and chairs, 2 sun loungers and rotary dryer. Utility Room: Within the utility room is a freezer, iron, ironing board and washer/dryer. Cleaning / Bed Linen /: The cottage is professionally cleaned once a week. We provide high quality bed linen, bath towels, tea towels and hand towels. Other: Leading off the living room is the conservatory which has a ceiling fan for hot summers days and a large leather corner sofa wonderful for looking out onto the garden and the fields beyond. We do not have internet, due to lack of BT line plant, so are unable to provide it.

A lovely property in a quiet location with everything you need for a great holiday.

The Barn was small but perfectly formed and tastefully decorated and the kitchens cupboards were well stocked with everything you need. The garden is pleasant and secure with a lovely seating area to enjoy an evening drink in the setting sun. The property is in a quiet rural community but everything you need is within a short drive away including a Starbucks which scored bonus points for me! It was great to be able to take our 2 springer spaniels and they enjoyed a couple of the complimentary biscuits, whilst I enjoyed the bubbly and chocolates. We would definately return and reccommend to others.

Stunning Property

Booked for a long weekend with my partner, the house was absolutely stunning as well as the surrounding views and area. The house has everything you could need, even had personal touch of a bottle and chocolates on the table. Will definately book again.

Lovely, cosy house in a beautiful location

We had a great weekend at Hilltop barn, our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 dogs. The property was just the right size for us and was an excellent base for exploring the lakes and the coast. We easily drove out to Whitehaven, Buttermere and Grange and we were very lucky with some amazing weather in February! The views from the house are stunning and the property is beautifully decorated throughout with a kitchen full of every cooking item you could need for a weekend! The enclosed garden was perfect for our pups as they could play safely without constant supervision. With Morag’s directions the house was very easy to find even on a dark evening. The chocolates and sparkling wine set out for us on arrival was a lovely touch and the dogs enjoyed some snacks from the treat jar! We would definitely go back to stay here again! Thank you!

Another lovely stay

We were so lucky to have blue skies everyday. We love this little barn and this was our second time returning. We enjoyed chilling in the conservatory and watching the sunrise. A truly relaxing break once again.

Fantastic place with everything you need

Booked Hill Top Barn to have a weekend in the lakes. Perfect quiet spot within a short driving distance of the lakes themselves. The Barn is very nicely decorated and has everything you need for your stay. A lovely welcome gift from Morag too. We will definitively be back.

A Wonderful Cosy Barn

We stayed here for a weekend in February and I have to say that you cannot fault this place. The direction instructions provided on the app took us straight to the front door and on arrival the barn was clean and tidy. It is very well equipped and the chocolates and wine left out on the dining table went down a treat!

All the beds were very comfy and the barn was nice and warm throughout our stay. The conservatory did get a little cold ( like they all do at this time of year) but Morag has even left a fan heater in there which we used to take the chill out of the air so thank you for that as this became our children's hang out area whilst we sat in the living room during the evening.

Myself and my wife and children all loved our stay at Hilltop Barn and we will definitely be booking again in the future.
