Bungalow in Trevone, Nr. Padstow, Cornwall, England - Pleasant Location, About 7 Minutes Walk To The Beach
Blue Waves is a detached bungalow, one of a small number of properties in Southway, about seven minutes walking distance of the attractive sandy beach at Trevone Bay. The bungalow sits on a good sized plot with three bedrooms and a recently renovated open plan kitchen, dining and living area. There is gas-fired central heating, double glazed windows and also a woodburner. The garden comprises private enclosed lawns gardens to the front and side - the sun rises over the front of the house and sets by the side, guaranteeing lots of bright light! The garden is enclosed by mature hedges, and has a metal gate to driveway, attached single garage and parking for 2 cars. Trevone has a spectacular beach, lovely cliff walks, beach shop and café, plus a Rick Stein’s farmshop only three minutes’ walk away from Blue Waves – newspapers, croissants, fresh bread, local meat and fish produce can be purchased here. The stunning Harlyn Bay is within easy walking distance via the coastal path, and the famous Harbour town of Padstow is only 1 ½ miles away. It is famous for many quality restaurants, excellent shopping, art shops, as well as amenities, fishing and other water sports. Blue Waves is toasty warm, extremely comfortable, and has a bath and a lovely hot shower!
While the bungalow accommodates 6 guests, we are a dog-friendly family so are happy with the idea of a well-behaved seventh guest with a waggy tail…!

Great relaxing Location for Dog friendly Beaches.
There were two of us staying with two small Terrier dogs. One of whom is the Canine equivalent of Harry Houdini. However the garden was nice and secure, possibly one spot he may have been able to squeeze out, but one of the garden chairs in front of it put a stop to that. It was relaxing to be able to let them out in the garden and not worry.
Property was very clean and tidy, with a excellent shower that put out plenty of power.
Within walking distance was Trevone Bay Beach, you cannot take dogs on there, but a few minutes walk further along is a stone beach on which you can.
However the real beauty of this property is there are PLENTY of other sandy dog friendly beaches within 10 minutes drive in any direction. Hawkers Cove and Constantine being our favourites
We didn’t need the log burner which is a shame as would like to have tested it out.
We ate in most nights, the cooking facilities were excellent. Lounge and dining area spacious for the two of us and the dogs.
We have been to many holiday lets over the last few years, this one was excellent.
Tyrone responded to messages in a timely and efficient manner.
Would recommend to family and friends.
Lovely home in fantastic location
We have returned from a fantastic stay at Blues Waves, Trevone. The property has everything you could need. Feels like home from home. Lovely log burner for cold nights and fab open plan living. Fantastic location, walking distance to the beach and a short drive from Padstow.
Tyrone was very quick to respond to any queries and i would definitely recommend the property.
Location, location, location!
New part of Cornwall for us to explore with our two dogs and Blue Waves is fantastically positioned to explore the area. Very nicely equipped it is also a great home to relax in. We enjoyed the coast walk to Harlyn especially but local beach is superb and ten minutes walk!
Nice secure garden and plenty of room indoors even for our Wolfhounds.
Must return again soon. Thanks Tyrone for arranging this at short notice.
Wonderful family space
We visited with our baby and dog and found the cottage to be a fantastic place to stay - a lovely big open plan kitchen/dining/living space, safe for the little one to explore, with everything you could need, all kitted out. Secure garden for the pup. It's perhaps a 10 minute walk to the beach (we didn't spend time there as it wasn't dog friendly at the time of the year) but we enjoyed wonderful walks along the coast. The walk back to the bungalow is uphill and a little strenuous so wouldn't suit all - we just about managed but others may prefer a car. It's a great location though, perfect to go off exploring Cornwall- Padstow, rock, tintagel, Fifteen etc. The owner Tyrone is very prompt and helpful in his communications and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this cottage if you're looking for a great holiday location!
Lovely bungalow, big dining room and kitchen
Blue waves has a lovely welcoming feel and was very clean and tidy. The living room has large comfy sofas, the kitchen is a good size and the dining room is large enough for a sociable circular dining table that seats 10 comfortably (which was great to have friends over who were camping near Padstow).
The three bedrooms are a good size, with large double and twin rooms. The third has bunk beds and still has plenty of space - even for our 12 and 14 year old daughters with all associated belongings.
The garden is private and nice to sit out in the early evening, even if a fleece is required..
Blue Waves is a great location for the car - centrally located between the beaches at Constantine, Treyarnon, Harlyn and Padstow. It's a little too far to walk down for a day on the beach at Trevone.
A home from home
The bungalow is beautifully furnished and also has many practical additions which make it brilliant for children and families. It is well situated within 5-10 minutes walking distance of the beach, welcoming and well presented, the boys loved the serving hatch and the enormous round dining table.
