Kaia is a BRAND NEW 3 BEDROOM PENTHOUSE (completed March 2015). She is surrounded by a large balcony which can be used to dine al fresco or simply as a relaxing place to sit and 'be present'. She is tucked away, almost hidden from the busy esplanade so has the best of both worlds where all amenities can be reached by foot. The wonderful views can be enjoyed from the lounge and master bedroom. Beautifully furnished throughout with black leather sofas, solid oak flooring and modern kitchen. Kaia has a feeling of seaside and freshness about her. The master bedroom is large and comfortable with its en-suite shower and there is a twin bedroom housing two Victorian single brass beds, with TV/DVD player and Ipod dock then a third bright bedroom with white wooden bunk beds and built in wardrobe. The kitchen is open plan joining the lounge so you can keep an eye on the little ones whilst preparing tea! The front of the property provides parking space for one vehicle and then steps lead up to the penthouse on the top floor with spectacular views. About Karen Dodd

Hi, I'm Karen and I would love to invite you to stay in a very special part of the world - Ventnor. It seems to be where time slows down and I think that is partly because you need to get on a ferry or a hovercraft to get there and for me, that is where the holiday really starts.

I fell in love with the Isle of Wight a few years ago and wanted to have a second home there to take my family on wonderful summer and winter holidays.

I purchased a bungalow which has now been converted into a penthouse with 4 two bedroom flats underneath which are for sale.

I have named the building Kaia which means retreat and I think that is what you will find when you visit.

I hope you choose to do so and I know you will have no regrets and will return time and time again, like me!

Why Karen Dodd chose Isle of Wight

Kaia is less than one minute's walk to the esplanade and seaside where you can enjoy all the traditional aspects of a wonderful English seaside holiday, summer or winter.

The beach is sheltered and sandy and dogs are permitted outside the holiday season.

You can stroll along the cliffs to discover wonderful coves which are truly unique to England.

Also from the apartment you can walk up to the main shopping area where you have everything you need on your doorstep. Restaurants, bars, shops and more.

Stepping onto the island is like stepping back in time - so bring your patience with you, they don't call it the Isle of Wait of nothing!!

What makes this apartment unique

I love the fact that I can park my car and walk everywhere when I come to Kaia. I can also play tennis at the local club or stroll along to the Botanic Gardens or play bowls. That's when I'm not sitting on the balcony watching the world go by or sunbathing on the wonderful sandy beach, literally a minute's walk away.

There are so many superb restaurants and pubs to dine at or take home freshly caught fish and chips. I can also choose to buy a local catch of the day and BBQ on the balcony if I have the energy whilst watching the ships sail by as well as the surfers!

Kaia is brand new so there is the air of freshness about her with all the sophistication of a modern apartment. I just love going there, either with my friends and family or for a quiet retreat by myself!

Rental is from Friday 2.00pm departure Friday 10.00am (to allow for cleaning) There is no smoking within the property please. Well behaved pets are especially welcome. Spyglass welcomes pets. Outside: Parking for one vehicle immediately in front of the building. The private un-made cul-de-sac is very quiet as no through traffic and perfect to walk your furry friend before retiring for the night. Seating and table for al fresco dining on the balcony which extends the entire width of the building. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen provided and beds made up on arrival, tea towels and bathmats also included. Please bring own beach and bath towels. Property cleaned professionally every week with clean bed linen. Other: Dining area with wooden table and 6 chairs between the kitchen and lounge, still maintaining views out to the beach. Display cabinet. BBQ and seating area outside on the balcony

Outstanding property with amazing views

Spent a fantastic week in this lovely property. The sea views are amazing and from sitting on the balcony you can hear the sound of the waves breaking on the shore. The apartment well equipped; ideally located for all local amenities with several nice pubs/eateries near by. Stayed as a family group with my mother, husband and 2 teenaged children - all of whom thoroughly enjoyed their stay here.

Idyllic retreat

We have been regular visitors to the Isle of Wight for many years and Ventnor for over 10 and this apartment is by some distance the best place we have stayed. The views are to die for and the spacious and exceptionally well equipped accommodation is something rather special. All this and just a stone's throw from Ventnor seafront, with its great beach, bars and restaurants. Karen was a pleasure to deal with, responding to our few queries quickly and efficiently. We have already booked for next year!

Stunning apartment, stunning views!!

Had a wonderful time, the apartment was very well equipped and had everything we needed (and more). The weather was kind to us which meant that we could make the most of the large balcony and enjoy the amazing views. Will definitely be returning for another stay in the future :-)

Excellent apartment overlooking the beach

We stayed at Kaia during the Easter holidays and had a great time. The apartment is not only based in a great location for the beach and local amenities, but also is very well laid out and furnished - having the balcony off the master bedroom and lounge was a real treat to watch the ever changing sea / sky. We are a family 5 and felt we had plenty of space in the penthouse, plus lots of activities in the local area. Would highly recommend staying at Kaia and a pleasure to book through Karen.

wonderful property in a wonderful location

This is a brand new property, well furnished and equipped, but its main attraction is the location. You can sit and watch the sea and the beach in comfort or walk less than a minute to the seafront where there are cafe's, pubs and other interesting places and hike off onto the coastal footpath. The gale force winds and occasional rain was fun as we knew we would be warm and snug in Kaia. We loved it, our 3 year old was very content and marvelled at the smart TV. The dog, found it very tranquil as well!

Fantastic Property

'Kaia' is an absolutely lovely property that is very comfortable and well equipped. And with it being just a stones throw from the beach it is in a perfect location. The views from the balcony, master bedroom and living area are perfect. We stayed for a week with our two young children and they absolutely loved the fact that we could walk to the beach in less than a minute! With everything you need close by, 'Kaia' really is in a great spot for a enjoying Ventnor and the surrounding areas, with or without children. We will definitely be booking again! Thanks :-)

Special interest holidays:

A perfect get away for a beach holiday in the summer or winter, a retreat from a day at one of the many festivals the island has to offer and a fabulous location for a walking holiday where you can bring your 4 legged friend!


Ventnor Beach with it's micro climate is literally one minute walk away through a private alley. Keep on walking and you will discover the Botanical gardens and further still, the stunning Steephill Cove where you can book a table for dinner or stop for lunch or a morning cup of hot chocolate.

Stroll the other way and you end up in Beautiful Bonchurch.

Behind Kaia, walk up some steep steps to the town centre (5 minutes).


Nearest port is Ryde/Fishbourne from Portsmouth

Both Wightlink and Red Funnel have ferries that take you to the island and of course there is the hovercraft from Portsmouth if you choose to leave the car behind.


Isle of Wight is only 23 by 13 so literally everything, is on hand!
