Hi i'm Lorraine a Mum and an Artist, my husband is very much into cars and is found in his barn working on a car most days!. I totally love France its so relaxing we live in the country so as well as peaceful its beautiful. We have chickens which we didnt have in the UK and its so lovely to have fresh eggs and surprising how many we eat.
Brought this house as it is set back in the countryside, its so peaceful and beautiful and so much of interest to take in.
Although we are in the country we are only a short walk from a shop, post office and Bar. We are also a 10 min drive from the Town of Domfront where there are 2 supermarkets and plenty to see and do. We have the best of both worlds here.
The property sits on farmland surrounded by amazing historic barns. There is greenery all around you and beautiful views. You couldn't ask for a place that is more peaceful and relaxing and at the same time perfect for kids. My two children (3 & 13) felt immediately at home. In fact my 13 year old who has Aspergers was calm and responsive the entire time at the gite. (Change is extremely stressful for him and often results in meltdown or shutdown). Lorraine is a fantastic host and can help make this the perfect holiday whatever your requirements are. Whether you want to be left alone in peace, go out exploring, or spend time with Lorraine and her adorable son. Lorraine is also a talented Christian artist so if you'd like either spiritual or creative inspiration this is definitely the place to come. The gite is comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you could require and can be supplied if not, Lorraine is extremely accomadating. We will definitely be coming back and can highly recommend this gite for your next holiday. The time will fly by and you'll wish you had booked an extra week.
It was a great experience .The house was very nice decorated ,clean and well furnished .The kitchen was very good .The place was very quiet .The owner was all the time ready to help us in everything we needed. The village was not far from all points of interest.I'll strongly recomande it.
Lovely little gite, with lots of character, in a very peaceful location. Little or no light pollution. Lots to see and do locally or further afield. In particular we found the booklets of walks very useful. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very clean.
Lorraine and Ben were great to rent from in this stone cottage next to their house. The cottage was outside a small town and close to food markets and tourist areas.
The owners met us and responded to our every request quickly.
We were looking for a restful place after the excitement of Paris and this did the job.
Thank you Lorraine and Ben for such a nice stay.
