Finchfield is a light and spacious comfortable non smoking detached house in the quiet village of new hedges,with gas fired central heating,WiFi,private gardens to front and rear with patio area,garage and off road parking to the side of the property for up to 3 cars.Equipped with dishwasher,tumble dryer,washing machine,high chair,travel cot as well as i-pod docking stations and upstairs kid's TV room including assorted DVD's,children's games toys and books. Located within the Pembrokeshire National Park between the coastal resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. Also on the main bus route to all main towns. Ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire whether it be for beach days,walking the coastal path,golfing,fishing or just relaxing. Village amenities include mini-market/off license,post office,cash machine 2 family pub/restaurants and a children's play park situated at the village hall.

I own finchfield with my husband.

We live just outside the village where finchfield is situated and this is my job after giving up my job as a nursery school assistant. I also caretake for a property nearby which I have done for over 20 years.

Finchfield is a lovely house with a family feel to it. We have done our best to cater for families as well as couples. It's a great location for exploring pembrokeshire and the beautiful beaches or for just kicking back and relaxing in the garden watching the birds.

Clean with all the amenities and excellent location with kind and gracious host

Travelers from the US: At time of year we went (end Oct) the location was quiet and peaceful, a great reprieve from all the white noise in the world these days. Thankfully, the weather held up for us during our stay. Great for hiking as only @ 30-40mins walk to both Saundersfoot and Tenby. Ideal place for families with and without children (rain or shine).

Lovely property with everything you need

The house is lovely, down a little lane near a caravan park with a good children's playground behind it. We couldn't take advantage of the garden due to the weather but it looked great, and enclosed so safe for children. The house was very well equipped (though it's got room for 6 to sleep but only room for 5 on the sofas). I would say the house, albeit less than 2 miles from tenby town, probably isn't walkable as the roads are quite busy (only £4 in a taxi though). Overall, a really good value, great house.

Owner's Response: Hi Elinor, Glad you enjoyed the house, thanks for your nice comments however I would just like to clarify for anyone else reading your review there is a three seater sofa and 3 armchairs in the living room giving everyone a comfortable seat. Also just want to point out there are 2 pedestrian routes into Tenby Town one of which is part of our beautiful coastal path,both routes avoiding the busy road. I'm sorry you you were unaware of these during your stay. Regards Lisa

Fabulous immaculate home with absolutely everything to provide a perfect stay.

Lisa has a lovely spacious and very cosy accommodation with many 'extras', such as lots of local interest info, some welcome goodies, books, dvds, children's toys, garden furniture, bbq etc. A lovely new and very well equipped kitchen was a pleasure to use and there is a good powerful hot shower and really comfortable beds too.

The situation was ideal for us being a short walk to the coastal path and very close to a bus stop and we found the area quiet.

Communication with our host was always prompt. We thoroughly recommend her property for a very enjoyable and home from home stay.

A lovely homely cottage. Very comfortable with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The beds are comfortable and everything is lovely and clean. In a friendly village in a quiet location and just 5 - 10 minutes from Tenby. Would definitely recommend.

We have had a lovely week. The house is very homely and comfortable and so well equipped. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Our daughter loved watching dvd's in "her" snug. Lots of lovely walks and fab beaches. We would definitely go back. Xx

Great area for boat fishing which can be booked at Tenby and Saundersfoot harbours. Walking the coast path is easily accessible from Finchfield and the local bus company runs a coastal shuttle service around the coast in the summer months enabling you to leave the car and explore our beautiful coastline.if Castles are your thing then Pembrokeshire is a must ,Tenby is situated within the old castle walls and many other castles nearby- Manorbier,Carew Pembroke LLawhaden to name but a few.

To keep the children happy we have many outdoor adventure parks-Folly Farm children'petting farm, zoo and old fashioned funfair, Heatherton activity and theme park for dinosaur lovers there is Great Wedlock Dino park, Manor house Wildlife park-endangered species. Ritec valley quad biking. Oakwood (roller coasters and big rides) theme park, Blue lagoon indoor pool and water slide park.Not forgetting some of the most beautiful stretches of beach and coastline to explore.

Finchfield is a 10 min walk to the glorious and secluded Waterwynch bay beach. situated between Tenby (2 miles away with its vast sandy beaches ideal for relaxing bucket and spade days or Saundersfoot (2 miles away) with its rugged smaller bays ideal for rock pooling and fishing, both are just a 5 minute drive or alternatively buses run regularly to either destination fom the bus stop just outside the driveway

Historic town of Pembroke 10 miles away with its castle and mill. Caldey Island has been inhabited since the stone age and is currently owned by an order cistercian monks. Boats run daily Mon-sat from Tenby Harbour through the summer months.
