Cottage in Coswarth, Newquay, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location With Easy Access To Numerous Beaches And All Amenities, Sleeps 6-7 People

This cottage is a beautifully decorated semi detached cottage-we are on hand if you need any help, but you will have plenty of privacy as the cottage enjoys its own front and rear garden and a totally separate parking area. The gardens are south facing so when the sun is out you can enjoy it sitting in rear garden, whist dinning alfresco on the patio, or at the front of the cottage admiring the uninterrupted views over the valley. The cottage is ideally located if you would like to stay in a peaceful location, yet have easy access (10mins by car) to the beaches and amenities. If you enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife, there is a picturesque ford just a 5 mins walk down a quiet road, where we ourselves have frequently seen roe deer, otters, ducks, barn owls and often hear the elusive woodpecker. Coswarth cottage has no light pollution at all and is fantastic at night for star gazing. The cottage is ideal for family and couples, the spacious open plan living/kitchen area and separate snug room so there is plenty of room for all without getting under each others feet! our cottage is perfect for a relaxing getaway in Cornwall. There is central heating throughout the cottage, underfloor heating in the upstairs bathrooms and a log burning stove in the lounge area, So is Well equipped to keep you warm in the cooler months.There is free WiFi access throughout the cottage, we'll give you the code and you'll be able to connect all your devices. (However Coswarth Cottage can run at countryside WiFi speed )

There are plenty of amenities just a short drive away; there are basic groceries just 2 miles away in either direction (Quintrell Downs and Fraddon),pubs, chips shop and a Chinese takeaway. We particularly recommend the Plumb of feathers pub/restaurant in Mitchell, Jamie Oliver's restaurant 'Fifteen' at Watergate bay and Rick stein's various eateries in Padstow and Newquay. The Eden project provides a fascinating day out for everyone with several excellent cafes. We also recommend a trip to St Mawgan; a picture perfect village with a pub (The Falcon) which has a beautiful beer garden, quaint tea rooms,a church, village green and Japanese gardens, its only 1.5 miles from Watergate Bay beach so you can combine a trip to visit both places. There are a wealth of activities for you to enjoy within easy reach, for example, Golfing,fishing, surfing, sailing , coastal walks, swimming and cycling (camel trail etc) to name a few. For avid fishermen, there are two lakes nearby , white acres fisheries is only 2 miles away and Oak side fishing lake only 1.4 ,miles also easily walkable. If your looking for that extra special kind of holiday treatments/pampering there are various spas in the Newquay area such as Bedruthan hotel spa , The Scarlet hotel (Both in Mawgan Porth) and The Bay hotel (Fistral Newquay).

Why Kathy wicks chose Cornwall

We love the pictureque countryside, beaches and being close to the amenities's.

Coswarth cottage definitely ticked all of those boxes for us which is why we have stayed here for so long.

When you are here you feel as if you are a millions miles away from anywhere, but your not. Its a perfect spot for making you feel as if you are.

What makes this cottage unique

As a family we have enjoyed many a walk around Coswarth Walking down the quiet road to the ford and beyond, enjoying the countryside views.

The children especially have enjoyed seeing the wild life around Coswarth up close, such as Roe deer,otters,ducks, barn owl & woodpecker.

As Coswarth cottage has no light pollution its amazing for star gazing. We have spend many an evening sitting on the front porch with hot chocolates gazing at the stars.

As busy parents we find Coswarth prefect for relaxing and taking that time out to appreciate the uninterrupted views from the house.

Notes on accommodation: We are delighted with the way our cottage has been restored, everything has been replaced and its has a comfortable and stylish modern interior. The cottage is near to a local branch line, but as this is a very quiet branch line there is very little noise disturbance whist residing in the cottage. We wouldn't choose to live here if the noise encroached on us relaxing at home! (If you would like confirmation/details on this please email for train line clip, & we will happily send it you you). Outside: There is enclosed front garden which leads to a raised patio area at the rear of the cottage which is prefect for barbecues etc. Both gardens are enclosed to keep your little people safe. Utility Room: There is also a very handy utility room which leads off the kitchen with its own sink,washing machine & microwave. There is a also cloakroom located next to the utility. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The cottage is thoroughly cleaned prior to your visit. We provide bedding, towels (not to be taken to the beach please!), Tea towels & oven gloves. (Any booking that are 7days + e.g. 14 night stay would receive a mid stay bedding/towel change) Other: We also have a separate snug room downstairs with comfy seating ,flat screen TV, WII games console & games. Ideal if you fancy a quiet read or the kids want to chill out away from the parents (or vice versa!).

A modern well presented cottage with very good amenities, comfortable beds,lovely bathrooms,very good kitchen, limited outside space,could benefit from more seating in main lounge,but we had a lovely stay and Kathy was welcoming and helpful.

we loved our week in Coswarth Cottages it is a beautiful newly decorated house.

From the minute we got to Coswarth Cottages Kathy the owner was so kind and helpful we arrived early so she allowed us to leave our bags there while we went off into the local town for lunch and did some shopping. When we arrived at 4pm she was there to meet us and left beautiful tea coffee from Cornwall and lovely biscuits milk and orange juice. The house had everything we needed and the rooms were all newly decorated. It is a very warm house so even in winter it would be lovely to stay in. The garden is lovely and very safe for children to play in there is a gate so children can't get out. You can sit in the shade on a stone bench built into house it has cushions to sit on and watch the children play. The only thing I would say they should put in a drier for clothes as it was mixed weather so it took longer for clothes to dry. We will definitely be returning to Coswarth Cottages it is such a family friendly house with a lovely atmosphere. Thanks so much Kathy for making our stay so lovely

A lovely house with perfect layout as holiday rental.

House had everything we needed and was in perfect location for discovering this part of Cornwall. Hosts made us feel very welcome and were on hand if we needed anything. Great place would definitely come back if visiting Cornwall again.

Beautiful cottage, amazing stay

There were 7 of us that stayed here including 1 baby. The cottage had everything you could possibly need including a washer, iron, travel cot, high chair, etc. The cottage is extremely clean and the owners live next door so if you ever need anything they aren't far away. The owners are very helpful and kind and even welcomed us with baskets of Cornish goodies, fresh orange juice and milk. Everything is close by just a short drive in the car to the beaches and Newquay town. We stayed for 2 weeks and after the first week we had our bedding changed and fresh towels.

We left something behind and the owners were even kind enough to post it to us and we received it within 2 days.

I would definitely recommend staying here it is beautiful and you are very welcomed by the owners.

Wonderful Stay!

We have just returned from a weekend away at Coswarth cottage. We were delighted to arrive to a beautiful, homely, welcoming cottage.

The owners met us and were there if we needed anything. They were very friendly and helpful.

We could not have asked for much more, it catered to all our needs, and was very spacious considering there's was 6 of us.

A big thank you to Kathy and family for everything you did to make our Stay special.

Hope to visit again one day.
