Delightful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has been very tastefully decorated and was immaculate on arrival. The owner Lorraine has thought of absolutely everything and the little extras were a lovely touch. Wells is a lovely city, the shops and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. I would not hesitate in recommending.

Cosy, Calm and Impeccably Clean

  • 5 of 5

Having stayed in many holiday homes throughout Europe, I can honestly say that this is one of the best. There is nothing that you could want for as Lorraine has thought of everything. From the welcome tray full of posh biscuits and tea treats, to the fresh crisp linens and feather duvets, delightfully comfortable beds, warm flame fire and well equipped kitchen, this cottage has everything. Ideally located for Wells (with brollies in case it rains and shopping bags if you want to visit the farmers market), it is also in easy distance of both Bath, Cheddar and Glastonbury. Parking is provided, pubs and shops close by (including an amazing butchers!). Most of all though, the house offers a haven. The feeling you get from the moment you walk through the door is one of calm. Cosied up in front of the fire, playing games around the tables, laying late in a sun filled bedroom - this cottage offers a holiday that will restore your heart and soul. I almost don’t want to tell anyone how great it is through fear, that once everyone knows about it, it will be fully booked for years to come. We cannot wait to stay again! Thank you Lorraine for giving this litttle family a perfect first holiday.

Simply Perfect in every way. The attention to detail and quality is truly lovely.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is Cosy and spacious at the same time. The quality shines through everywhere from the fresh pressed table linen right through to all fixture and fittings. The owners kindness is outstanding and the welcome pack very generous.

Very centrally located with car parking, and the cathedral and shops a very short stroll. We will be returning gorgeous.

About Lorraine Hartley

I have recently renovated this beautiful cottage. The original part of the house dates back to 1745.

The property is located within 200 metres of Wells Cathedral, Bishops Palace, independent shops, restaurants and the twice weekly farmers market (Wed & Sat)

I hope visitors staying at 6 Tor Street will relax and unwind as they enjoy all that Wells and Somerset has to offer.

If I can help in any way either before ,during or after your booking please do not hesitate to contact me.
