Why Lorraine Hartley chose Wells

I love Wells because of the excellent facilities in the area. The historic City of Wells boasts an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and shops.

The area is easily accessible via the M4/M5 and A303 and is an ideal location for enjoying all the West Country's amenities.

There simply are no words to describe how perfect this cottage is. Lorraine has gone above and beyond to make it a truly stunning place to stay. We have never stayed anywhere before where the standards can be matched. She has literally thought of everything, right down to umbrellas in case you’ve forgotten them. You will not need to bring anything with you at all. There are games for the kids and adults (mini table top pool table) and a beautiful kitchen in which to sit and just chat, drink wine and watch the birds out of the window. The lounge is cosy, especially with the fire and the beds are SO comfy. Sublime, exquisite, elegant, perfection, stunning are a only but a few words to describe this cottage. Do not hesitate, not even for second, to book this place. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic find!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in quite a few cottages around Wells and this was by far the nicest I have found. The attention to detail in this cottage was fantastic with loads of luxury items super kind size bed lovely bedding to a fab coffee machine no expense spared in this cottage... and than to top it all loads of welcome goodies wine biscuits bread butter coffee tea milk felt totally spoiled.Check in was very easy and was called early in the morning to say the cottage was ready if I wanted to check in early. This cottage also has a permit for parking which is invaluable in Wells .Altogether brilliant time in this cosy cottage can't wait to return.Thank you Lorraine !

Stunning cottage

  • 5 of 5

Cottage was ideally located for City of Wells. It was maintained furnished and decorated to a very high standard very clean with all washing and cleaning facilities provided for. All our needs were catered for and there was a supply of games , dvd's and local tourist information available In short we wanted for nothing. A top quality welcome pack was provided which was greatly appreciated the best we have ever had. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and without a doubt would stay there again. The owner was very friendly and helpful throughout all our dealings. The cottage is a credit to her. After visiting Wells many times in the last 15 years this is the best accomodation experience we have had top quality.

If you're looking for a cottage to stay in Wells or this area, then look no further! You will be hard pushed to find better at this price! This was our second stay at 6 Tor Street and the cottage was every bit as special as we remembered!

Lorraine & Paul have invested a lot of time (and I'm sure money) in making this cottage a real 'home from home' in the truest sense of the word. Lorraine has exquisite taste and it shows in every room. Her attention to detail is fantastic and it is this which makes a stay here so comfortable. From the lovely 'welcome tray' of wine, biscuits etc... to the coffee machine & pods... to the high quality linens and plentiful soft towels... to the gorgeous dressing room... and well stocked games, DVD's and books.... we even found a pair of binoculars which my daughter enjoyed taking on our walks!

We also got to take advantage of some Autumnal sun and had tea in the garden one afternoon!

The cottage is fantastically located just minutes from the City Centre and having a parking permit makes it all so easy.

Wells is a beautiful City in a lovely part of the Country. Even though we had stayed for a week last year, we managed to find plenty of new things to do and different places to visit. Within easy drive time you have Bath, Bristol, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Street (Clarks Shopping Village), Stourhead and much more! Our personal favourites so far are Longleat and Stourhead (the colours in Autumn are amazing!!).

We love this place so much that we've already booked 6 Tor Street again for next Summer and will be bringing my mum along with us!

Thank you Lorraine and Paul for everything. We are so looking forward to our return!

I’m hard to please and this house is totally fab, as was Lorraine who sent my daughters top back the very next day after she forgot it.

Very clean, quaint and modern at the same time. Lots of games, kids enjoyed playing mini pool. Great kitchen.

Bring a laptop if you need to watch Netflix etc there’s WiFi.

Wells is pleasant, and I would recommend this place to anyone. Great welcome pack too. We felt spoilt. I felt rested.
