Beautiful cottage in Wells in Central Location.
About Lorraine Hartley
I have recently renovated this beautiful cottage. The original part of the house dates back to 1745. The property is located within 200 metres of Wells Cathedral, Bishops Palace, independent shops, restaurants and the twice weekly farmers market (Wed & Sat) I hope visitors staying at 6 Tor Street will relax and unwind as they enjoy all that Wells and Somerset has to offer. If I can help in any way either before ,during or after your booking please do not hesitate to contact me.

Why Lorraine Hartley chose Wells
I love Wells because of the excellent facilities in the area. The historic City of Wells boasts an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and shops. The area is easily accessible via the M4/M5 and A303 and is an ideal location for enjoying all the West Country's amenities.

A lovely week in Wells.
Centrally placed, well equipped and generally quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Wonderful Welcome to Wells!
Travelling as a family of four, looking for a base to explore Somerset for the summer, this cottage was a fantastic base. It is ideally placed to explore Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge and caves, Glastonbury, Street and its Clarks Outlet Village. The cottage is a home from home with so much thought from its owners to make our stay enjoyable. Lorraine was on hand to help with any queries but the property is so well stocked that there was really nothing else we could have wanted. Plus the washing and bedsheets smelt amazing!!
Wonderful place to stay in Wells
This cottage is close to the centre of Wells with parking. Very comfortable, quiet with a garden with chairs, table and parasol which we made ample use of. A real warm and welcoming home from home with everything provided of the highest quality. I can't recommend this cottage highly enough. We will be back next year.
Wonderful cottage in great location
This cottage is wonderful, cosy and welcoming and equipped with everything you could possibly want and need. It became our home away from home for 70 days. We took several excursions and was sometimes away for several days, but every time getting back to the cottage was a delight. Lorraine is a wonderful host - because of our long stay we had a fair bit of very positive and friendly communication with her and Paul. They were so very helpful and thoughtful, and couldn't have done more for us. The cottage is in an excellent location, five minutes from cathedral and market place. Nice big kitchen and great little stone walled garden. Unfortunately it rained a fair bit so we didn't get to spend very much time in it. There is a good size and very well equipped kitchen, we also managed to do a bit of cooking while we were there. Two bedrooms on top of the stairs, the main bedroom has a very large and comfortable bed and the little dressing room was very handy. Everything in this place is thought through very carefully to make you feel very very comfortable. Very handy with the parking card for parking across the road in the private parking lot. Only, the mobile connections are not great but this goes for the whole town area. We think Lorraine and Paul might have wondered a bit about renting it out for such a long time but we hope they weren't disappointed. We absolutely loved this place and could not recommend it highly enough. We feel so lucky to have found it. The Fountain Inn at the top of the street has lovely food, and there is a nice cafe, Twentyone, in the corner of the market place. Annie and Doug
Lovely cosy cottage
Ideal location close to the Cathedral. The cottage is tastefully decorated and very well equipped with good quality items. Everything about it is to a high standard, making for a very comfortable cosy stay. The owner is very helpful and provided a lovely welcome pack. There is also a private walled garden which is lovely to sit out in. Highly recommend.
Lovely cottage in the heart of Wells
A perfect place to stay, a stone's throw from the cathedral and with parking opposite. This pretty two bedroom cottage is cosy and really well appointed. Nice bathroom with a good shower and comfortable bedrooms (also very quiet so I got a good night's sleep) and I loved having my own dressing room! Lorraine was super helpful with arrangements and it was lovely to have good coffee, wine, bread etc all supplied. I have visited Wells for work on dozens of occasions and this is by far the nicest self-catering place I have stayed in, definitely to be recommended!.
